Miley Cyrus handled a late-night New Year's Eve wardrobe malfunction with aplomb.
After ringing in the New Year on her NBC New Year's Eve special, titled Miley's New Year's Eve Party, the 29-year-old singer lost her top during a performance, causing her to quickly improvise and change her attire, all while continuing on with her set.
The moment took place after Cyrus performed her hit "We Can't Stop" and transitioned to another popular tune, "Party in the U.S.A." As she strutted around the stage in a silver outfit, Cyrus could be seen holding onto her top as she sang the opening lyrics of the song, before she then made her way backstage as her backup singers and band continued to play.
Amid the song's first chorus, the "Angels Like You" crooner returned to the stage in a red blazer she had previously donned earlier in the program.
"Everybody's definitely looking at me now," Cyrus quipped, channeling the lyrics to the 2009 song. "I'm still in the most clothes that I've ever worn on stage," she added in between lyrics.

Miley's New Year's Eve Party came from Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels and saw Pete Davidson serve as co-host. Cyrus and television producer Lindsay Shookus also signed on as executive producers.
"In what is sure to be an exciting and fun evening, we are looking forward to partnering with Lorne Michaels and ringing in 2022 with a night of incredible entertainment, led by Miley and Pete," Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Live Events, Specials and E! News, NBCUniversal, said last month in a statement.
The special marks the first time Carson Daly had not hosted NBC's New Year's Eve coverage since 2004 (with the exception of Dec. 31, 2017, when it didn't air due to an NFL broadcast).

Prince of Wales warns of 'dire humanitarian situation' in his first New Year message
The Prince of Wales has issued a New Year plea for peace for persecuted people after being inspired by a Syrian refugee in Jordan who gave him apot of honey.
Prince Charles has not previously released a New Year message but is understood to have been particularly moved by his own recent travels, as well as the plight of those including Aung San Suu Kyi, the ousted and recently jailed leader of Myanmar, whom he has met on several occasions.
He was also deeply concerned about the “catastrophic” situation in Afghanistan, following the fall of Kabul, warning just before Christmas that a million children could die in the country this winter.
During a visit to Jordan with the Duchess of Cornwall in November, the Prince met Hudaifa, 30, who had lost everything during the Syrian civil war and was rebuilding his life with a grant from the International Rescue Committee, which he hoped to use to make a living as a beekeeper.
He gave the Prince a pot of his honey, which he found particularly touching. A palace source said: “It was a very simple, generous act from someone who did not have much. Somebody who had had a lot but lost everything.”
When he returned home, Prince Charles, himself a keen beekeeper, sent Hudaifa a pot of his own Highgrove honey in return.
The Prince’s New Year message, to be distributed across the world through British embassies and on social media, focuses on themes that prevail through both his and the Duchess’ charity work.
He said: “As we start a New Year, we might take a moment to remember the many people around the world who are standing up for freedom and human rights.
"In places such as Afghanistan, Syria and Myanmar, among others, the threats and reality of political and religious persecution and insecurity are coupled with an increasingly dire humanitarian situation.
“In the face of such adversity, incredibly brave individuals, local communities and international organisations are responding to great needs by providing vital assistance.
"I pray for peaceful resolutions to these conflicts and that we might all be blessed with the courage to support those in need, wherever they may be.”
Prince Charles became patron of the International Rescue Committee in January 2020. He is also president of theBritish Red Cross.

Bob Iger Posts Goodbye Message Online, Thanks Cast Members, Family For “The Ride Of A Lifetime”
In his last day at Disney, executive chariman Bob Iger took to Twitter to reflect on his “47 1/2 yr ABC @Disney journey.” Iger, 70, called it “the ride of a lifetime” and, given it lasted nearly 50 years, that’s more than a figurative statement.
The Disney boss continued with thank you’s to “my colleagues & fellow cast members & special thanks to my wife Willow & my 4 children: Katie, Amanda, Max & Will.”
He ended with the acknowledgment, “I couldn’t have done this without your love & support
Iger has been taking a well-deserved victory lap of sorts in the past few weeks, which has included a return to his roots as a TV weatherman, exit interviews in the press and a three-day trip to Disney World this week, about which he also tweeted.

A harrowing New Year's Day attack on US special operators during the Vietnam War featured a sinister tactic
During the Vietnam War, the US military relied heavily on special-operations forces to wage what was a predominately unconventional conflict.
Individual units, such as the Army Green Berets, Navy SEALs, and Air Commandos, supported the war strategy, but the Pentagon also created a dedicated special-operations organization.
Military Assistance Command Vietnam-Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG) was a covert special-operations unit that conducted operations in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, North Vietnam, and elsewhere.
Their highly classified missions came at a cost. The unit had a 100% casualty rate, meaning all its members were wounded at least once or killed in action. The outsize risk they faced was matched by their effectiveness. Time and again, MACV-SOG teams achieved great results.
The North Vietnamese and Vietcong understood the danger MACV-SOG troops posed and went to extremes to kill or capture them.
A mole in MACV-SOG headquarters in Saigon provided key intelligence to the North Vietnamese about the recon teams' movements and operations. SOG operators in the field were often at a bigger disadvantage than they realized.
But the North Vietnamese went a step further, attacking the "SOG problem" at its root: MACV-SOG bases. One such attack on a forward operating base near Da Nang in August 1968 killed 18 Green Berets in what is still the deadliest day in the unit's history.
A few months later, in the middle of the winter holidays, the North Vietnamese sought to replicate that success with a surprise attack on New Year's Day.
The North Vietnamese and Vietcong usually planned or launched attacks during US or Vietnamese holidays, relying on surprise to compensate for the US's overwhelming technological superiority.
The most well-known example is the Tet Offensive in early 1968. Launched during local new year's celebrations, the massive, coordinated assault across South Vietnam was defeated militarily at heavy cost for both sides but helped turn the war in North Vietnam's favor.
"We always had heightened alerts for all US and major Vietnamese holidays," such as July Fourth or the Vietnamese New Year, said John Stryker Meyer, a legendary Green Beret who completed two tours with MAVG-SOG.
"They seldom hit a base when the base was prepared. They preferred the element of surprise, such as the August 23, 1968, attack at FOB 4 in Da Nang, an attack launched after more than a year of planning and planned to strike on a moonless night," Meyer told Insider.
A few days before New Year's Eve 1968, the SOG camp commander at Forward Operating Base 1 in Phu Bai, near Hue, ordered his troops to prepare for asurprise attack at the turn of the year.
