i did over 30 years ago
alcohol was killing me in real time
luckily for me my friends thought i should quit also and supported the idea
even tho they were mostly heavy drinkers too
a half dozen old men in aa offered me some very good practical advice
i am now older than they were then ha
they had lived both ways , drunk and sober
such as
quitting drinking does not cure all your problems
it allows you to see your problems in a sober light and lets you work on them
it gets easier as time goes by and your habits change
