Banning has been used as a weapon and a behavior modifier for years. Old message boards did it all the time.
A storm hits. As the waters rise, most evacuate. One man chooses to stay and says, "God will save me."
As water rose, a man in a boat came by and offered a ride to safety, but the stubborn man held his ground. "I will stay. God will save me."
Eventually the man was on his roof with water up to the top when a speed boat arrived and tossed him a lifeline. THe man rejected the line and repeated his stance. "God will save me."
Finally forced to climb to the top of the chimney, a helicopter arrives and lowers a ladder, but the man refused to accept the offer.
He drown.
When he got to Heaven he asked, "God, I believed. Why didn't you save me?"
God replied: I sent you a boat, a motor boat and a helicopter. What more did you want?
