The Socialist Public School System does an excellent job at squashing a child's enthusiasm for learning and from becoming an enlightened individual able to use critical thinking skills. They say they promote critical thinking but they actually do the opposite.

Rehearse ahead of time. Walk around the house giving your speech out loud. Use your hands and expressions as if you are talking to an actual audience. Then when you get up to do your spiel it will come off without a hitch.
