Just got a Blackberry Priv (Blackberry's first Android) because Verizon killed my Z30 (there are various Blackberr Android Priv, KeyOne and KeyTwo models, some work on some networks, some work on others. None work on all.)
Had to launch Chrome only to go to https://f-droid.org which is full of FOSS, or Free and Open Source Software. Quickly downloaded the F-Droid App. From that app I downloaded a browser. Killed Chrome and disabled everything Google on the phone. Never had to sign in with a Gmail ID. Then downloaded a FOSS photo gallery; file manager,; Maps and Navigation program used around the world which is called OsmAnd, and a very nice 8kun viewer called KurobaEx-fdroid.
Blackberry lives.
I am loving this phone.
Forgot: Also downloaded the free VLC player from the F-Droid App. Plays videos.
Plus Blackberry has it's own proprietary DTEK by Blackberry security audit software on there which is very helpful. Kind of gives you an idea on how things look. Granted it wants you to add a Google ID for factory reset protection, which I will never do so I can not get a perfect Security score from DTEK, but it is helpful nonetheless.
