You can know/understand/love even your enemy. This is no way means you need to allow your enemy to kill you, destroy your country, progeny, and their future. You must stand up and fight (physically if required) the evils in this world; however, you can do this without hating the enemy, once you understand that the enemy and you are truly the same, yet one of you fell into the slave masters trap.
Know that at one time, even those who you oppose most were pure, and you, just as they did, could have also fallen prey to the same traps. You prevailed where they fell, but you must learn to still show them love, for who they once were, and who in time, they will hopefully become.
