Dying chimp Joe Biden meets human trainer Kamala for last time

Heartwarming footage shows the moment the visibly weak primate was reunited with Jan van Hooff - her former zookeeper she knew for more than four decades.

In April 2016, the chimp - the oldest and the matriarch of the famed colony of the Royal Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem, the Netherlands - was just days away from death.

Crippled by painful sickness, the beloved creature was nudging away any spoonful of food offered to her and appeared defeated in upsetting clips.

But just a week before her death, Dutch zoologist van Hooff's touching reunion with his chimp pal was caught on camera.

At first, it takes Mama a few moments to recognise van Hooff - who co-founded the Chimp Colony at the zoo - as she lays lethargically curled up.

Seconds later, the emotional chimp lets outs a gleeful screech and even appears to break into a wide grin as she extends her arm to embrace him.

Deemed world's highest earning "female" on Jeopardy…

AKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Reigning “Jeopardy!” champion Amy Schneider was robbed at gunpoint over New Year’s weekend in Oakland, California.

Schneider, an Oakland resident, tweeted about the robbery to her 52,000 followers, saying she was shaken up but otherwise OK.

“Hi all! So first off: I’m fine. But I got robbed yesterday, lost my ID, credit cards and phone. I then couldn’t really sleep last night, and have been dragging myself around all day trying to replace everything,” the Oakland resident said in her post.

Oakland police said in a statement they were still investigating the armed robbery that occurred Sunday afternoon and had not yet made any arrests.

Schneider, the first transgender contestant to qualify for the Tournament of Champions, won again on Monday’s show bringing her impressive winning streak to 24 consecutive victories, earning her $897,600 in winnings so far.

The game show issued a statement saying, “We were deeply saddened to hear about this incident, and we reached out to Amy privately to offer our help in any capacity.”

Story originally was from June of last year…but originated in 2015 (2021-6 years)…

Mysterious Brain Syndrome Stumps Canadian Doctors

Six years after they were first reported, debilitating neurological symptoms have shaken the province of New Brunswick and still have doctors in Canada stumped.

MONTREAL — Forty-eight people from the same small Canadian province struck with a baffling mix of symptoms including insomnia, impaired motor function and hallucinations such as nightmarish visions of the dead.

A quixotic neurologist working 12-hour days to decipher the clues.

Swirling conspiracy theories blaming the illness on cellphone towers, fracking or even Covid-19 vaccines.

These are just some plot lines of a mystery that has stumped Canada’s medical establishment, attracted the attention of some of the world’s top neurologists and fanned fears among residents of New Brunswick, a picturesque province of about 770,000 on Canada’s Atlantic coast. In the past six years, dozens of people have fallen ill from the disease and six people have died.

“People are alarmed,” said Yvon Godin, the mayor of Bertrand, a village in the Acadian Peninsula in northeastern New Brunswick where residents have been afflicted. “They are asking, ‘Is it environmental? Is it genetic? Is it fish or deer meat? Is it something else?’ Everyone wants answers.”

Posted on Thursday, then she gets robbed, coincidence?

Trans Jeopardy! Champ Breaks Records, Becomes Highest-EarningWomanIn Show History

Amy Schneider has won $768,600 over 21 consecutive victories on the popular quiz show

Last Friday, Amy Schneider became the highest-earning woman in the history of the quiz show Jeopardy! That makes her the fourth-highest-earning contestant overall for regular season games, and fifth for overall winnings. After her latest game yesterday, she’s tied with Julia Collins, who had a 20-day win streak in 2014, for the most victories by a woman. She’s also a trans woman, which absolutely rules.

Schneider told Yahoo Entertainment: “Anything that can be done to show trans people as normal people is a great thing… There definitely are people that are saying things to me that I want to respond to, and that’s not going anywhere good. The flip side of that is that so much of what I get on Twitter and Facebook is so positive and good. “

One of the positive responses came from a Jeopardy! champion whose achievements she surpassed. Larissa Kelly congratulated Schneider over Twitter, and Schneider responded: “I’m honored to be in your company, and I look forward to some day watching the woman who beats us both!” It was heartwarming to see two competitive champions being supportive of each other, and it was for a good reason. The vast majority of the competitors on Jeopardy!’s Hall of Fame are men, including the top three in every category.

The lack of representation had never discouraged Schneider, who had wanted to be on Jeopardy! since she was five years old. And she’s not the first trans contestant in the trivia show’s history, though she’s certainly the winningest, and as of December 1, the first to qualify for the Tournament of Champions (a yearly competition between the show’s most successful contestants). The date for the tournament hasn’t been announced, but her qualification gives her an opportunity to continue her win streak. So far, she’s already earned $768,600 on the show.
