Mueller's letter to the court asking to keep his shit secret is weird.

It's strangely lacking in legal citations. Starting off in the 2nd paragraph, the claim about when first amendment right of public access exists. There should probably be more than one case citation there (showing that courts have agreed with that assertion), instead it's just written like an opinion essay. And so on.

I'm not an attorney and even I know that much law.

Because for one thing, when the judge writes a ruling, he needs the case citations to justify it. If you're subject to the whim of a judge, wouldn't you provide them?
