after a juror revealed he used his own experience of childhood sexual abuse to sway deliberations — and cannot remember if he revealed his past during jury selection, according to reports.

I had shingles. It is the worst fucking pain you've ever felt. Like being hit in the side (I got it on my torso) with a baseball bat. The pain is so excruciating you can't sleep, until you finally fall asleep from the exhaustion of the pain

There currently is a shingles vax but it's mainly pushed to old people, since they at the highest risk (I can't remember why). I had it at 35; it can be triggered by stress

Helpful tips for anons to catch it at the beginning:

If you feel any sort of pain and see any sign of striations anywhere on your body (reddish lines; they start out very faint but you can't miss them along with the begining of a weird pain that isn't a body ache but sort of feels like one), call your doc and tell them you think you have shingles

There's nothing you can do about it, but they will give you meds to counterbalance it so it doesn't get full-blown. If you catch it at the beginning it won't last as long

Mine was about four days of death pain, and about 10 days until I felt normal again. The striations took about two years to completely fade
