Do you want the real reasons?

 

  1. When it actually comes down, odds are it will do so over the ocean. (Three-quarters water area for the whole globe.)

 

  1. Shooting down another country's rocket without being asked is a hostile act.

 

  1. It would create tons of space junk that could be a problem for other satellites up there. (When Russia recently shot down one of their own pieces of space junk, the ISS crew had to shelter in their respective spacecraft in case the junk hit the ISS and made it necessary for everyone to leave.)
