The Russian vessel smashed into a sonar line towed behind by HMS Northumberland. The Type 23 frigate was said to have been scrambled to search for the Russian submarine about 200 miles north of Scotland.

HMS Northumberland let out its towed sonar cable to listen out for underwater sounds and to pick up where the submarine may have been.

However, in a startling collision the cable was reportedly "dragged over the submarine's hull".

Now who hit who. Did the submarine hit the tow line or did the tow line hit the submarine.

That actually looks more like a conventional contrail. Note how it begins 1/2 to 1 plane length behind the plane and peters out breaks up some distance behind rather than going from horizon to horizon.

If you see a plane that you think is leaving a chemtrail try to match it up to a flight on ADSB tracking site.

You can use the sites planefags use for free.

Problem is the planefag might be in NY or UK and the anon seeing the chemtrail is in Texas or California. It is difficult for the planefag to resolve which plane is matching up to which trail. Typically there are around 8-10000 planes being tracked by ADSB at any one time. Needle and haystack spring to mind.
