Ted Cruz went on Tucker Carlson’s show tonight to respond to the backlash he’s received over calling the January 6th capitol riot a terrorist attack and Carlson refused to give him a free pass.
Cruz admitted his words were sloppy and dumb, even telling Tucker they were a mistake.
But Tucker kept pushing back, even at one point saying “I guess I just don’t believe you.”

Honestly, I do believe Cruz. While his words were intentional, that doesn’t mean that he meant them exactly the way they came out. And look, if he’s willing to admit he made a mistake referring to it this way, I’m good with that.
Ted Cruz is a great conservative Senator and there’s simply no reason to kick him to the curb over this. That’s just my opinion.
