Former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway is joining the gubernatorial campaign of state Sen. Jake Corman.

Conway, Donald Trump’s campaign manager in 2016 and later senior counsel for the president, will work for the campaign as a pollster and special adviser, the Corman campaign said in an announcement Friday.

“Kellyanne Conway is a proven winner who’s ready to help Republicans take back the governor’s office here in Pennsylvania,” Corman said. “Her experience in communications and polling is second-to-none. Kellyanne knows what it takes to win tough campaigns, and we’re excited to have her on our team.”

Unrest in OPEC+ member Kazakhstan has pushed up oil prices as investors fear supply interruptions, but the uranium market appears less affected despite the Central Asian country being the world's second largest producer.

"Riots obviously can stop production and exports," said Bjarne Schieldrop, an analyst at Swedish bank SEB.

Over the week, crude prices gained about five percent and on Friday Brent exceeded $83 per barrel, "putting it at its highest level since the price slide triggered by the first appearance of the Omicron variant in late November," said Carsten Fritsch, commodities analyst at Commerzbank.

BEIJING (AP) — Tianjin, a major Chinese port city near the capital Beijing, began mass testing of its 14 million residents on Sunday after a cluster of 20 children and adults tested positive for COVID-19, including at least two with the omicron variant.

Those infected include 15 students from 8 to 13 years old, a staff member at an after-school center and four parents. The citywide testing is to be completed over two days.

The Syracuse men’s basketball team is a road underdog against Wake Forest on Saturday afternoon.

Wake Forest is favored by 4.5 points as of Saturday morning, according to the vegasinsider.com consensus. The over/under is 154.5 points.

The Orange (7-7, 1-2 ACC) lost its past two conference games (at home against Virginia last Saturday and at Miami on Wednesday). It’s Syracuse’s worst start through 14 games in Jim Boeheim’s 46-year coaching tenure.

Wake Forest (12-3 overall, 2-2 ACC) is 9-0 at home this season. The Demon Deacons beat Florida State by 22 points on Tuesday.
