I see a glaring red flag when I look at the Netflix (NFLX) fundamentals. P/E is INSANELY high. 208.99? Fuck me. That's a LOT of price for not enough earnings, since NASDAQ P/E as of 5/18 is 24.
I hit on that. Nearly 209 = it's an extremely shitty value. I'd be OK with upper teens or lower 20s but once we start getting into triple digits, sell sell sell.
Might be a good idea, might not be (you'll know if it's a bad idea when the police show up for a "well-being" check). I've seen a lot of shit in my state where people with right-leaning political beliefs have written to their state legislator or senator and ended up having to sue to get their gun rights back. Wouldn't surprise me if it happens at federal level as well. Oh, and I'm in a blue state that's blood fuckin red nearly everywhere but the cesspool that is known as Crook County.
I told friends, family that if they own FB, GOOG, and/or AMZN, to get fucking rid of it yesterday because of this shit. Overvalued like Qualcomm back during the tech boom. The crash will be epic.
I posted last bread about my uncle and aunt having an echo dot in every single room and a "smart home" setup with ALL of their appliances and thermostat on it. And my uncle thought I was nuts for telling him if he can access his oven or washing machine remotely, so can other people.
I'm gonna run those equities through a DCF model tomorrow to see what they're "actually" worth. Probably use FCF. Should be interesting. Haven't done equity valuation since business school, fuck I'm rusty.
It's gonna be fun pegging an accurate, somewhat long-term growth rate since these companies are growing at insane rates like a damn cancer.

Amazon has huge legal issues from that Alexa recording "incident" (like we didn't already know, this is just public confirmation). Their explanation doesn't fly. Guarantee Amazon is already trying to settle this out of court because discovery will not be fun. But anyone who has ever been in the presence of a device that is online would have standing to sue if there's hard evidence (not "I was talking about buying something and ads popped up for that item" but a paper trail) then Amazon would go bankrupt and Bezos would also go bankrupt.
Amazon's explanation is a complete joke. It's saying "We make garbage." It's burning customers and future customers by doing that so they have a really good reason for such a pathetic explanation.
