Used to think the ICC was the fantasy justice court.

Now the 'legitimate' courts are looking less real, as if they were no more than regulatory bodies governing how much the cult could get away with .

Our "real" courts sought to enthrone our reason and rationality seem more like the fantasy courts now; where the myth of reason was maintained, despite clear logical contradictions and moral confusion.

At one time the bench held jurists who acknowledged to deficiencies of the law and the courts, Oliver Wendell Holmes among them.

“I have no respect for the passion of equality, which seems to me merely idealizing envy.”

― Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

“We should be eternally vigilant against attempts to check the expression of opinions that we loathe.”

― Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

“The first requirement of a sound body of law is, that it should correspond with the actual feelings and demands of the community, whether right or wrong.”

― Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., The Common Law

“Lawyers spend a great deal of their time shoveling smoke.”

― Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

Capable men women, people like Holmes was, who think for themselves, would not accept a SCOTUS nomination today.

"This is not a court of Justice, it's a court of law," said Holmes. It is not even that anymore, but a lawless institution whose prestige exists because of people like Holmes who wouldn't go near the place today.
