I've often wondered why ground beef isn't cooked in a commercial setting and sold already cooked in the frozen food section of grocery stores.

The frozen, cooked ground beef could be used in chili, sloppy joes, spaghetti, hamburger helper, etc.

No it doesn't. I do it all the time. I buy it bulk, 3 to 5 pound packages. Fry it up, drain the fat and freeze it in small containers about 3/4 lb. Heat on the defrost button of the microwave. Comes out perfect.

I have seen frozen meatballs. Some have fillers though, and they are gross.
