Definitely works better if one's self-employed, too.
Not quite so easy if one's retired or working for globohomo corp, yet it's still worth looking into for other reasons as well since the author (not me, but I've met him) is a true patriot.
True, the IRS/DOJ could get pissy. However, it's the actual tax filers that are 4 - 5 times more likely go to jail because they cheat, rather than follow the actual laws…which is what the author advises. As such, all I can suggest is that you look into more closely to see if this approach is right for (you).
