Just remember that one atheist doesn't speak for all.
>Why does it bother you, I have faith and it gives me comfort?
It doesn't. I find it interesting.
>Yes God cannot be proven in scientific terms, but you can’t prove God doesn’t exist
Correct. It's a question of faith. It's why it's called "believe" not "know".
But just because you can't prove he doesn't exist doesn't mean we must assume that he does - especially when the opposite can't be proven either.
>Id rather have comfort in my faith, that way if I die and God exists, I’m fine.
What if the Muslims were right?
>And if he doesn’t I’ll never know because I’ll be dead with no memory or existence and never knowing if I was wrong (according to what you believe).
That's not what I believe but it doesn't really matter.
>Whereas if you die and God exists, you’re shit out of luck!
Just like you are if the Mormons got it right.
>Either way my faith in God gives me comfort
Great, I just hope it doesn't limit your curiosity. Which is what I find it does to most people. "Because God" is too easy an answer for most.
>One of us will be wrong
Maybe both of us.
