they've known for quite some time that human feces are loaded with the covid pathogen (in infected individuals).
Lots of covid transmission comes when somebody touches a toilet flush handle, restroom door, sink handle, etc. that have recently been touched by somebody who just wiped their butt.
so, it's not surprising that wastewater would have lots of covid pathogen.. the terds put it there.
