LAWRENCE SELLIN: New Pentagon Papers Show COVID Is Bioweapon Made in China Paid for and Developed by US Scientists Who Then Covered It Up While Pushing Flawed Public Health Policies

New Pentagon Documents Point To COVID-19’s Laboratory Origin as a Chinese Bioweapon and U.S. Government Complicity

As described in a Gateway Pundit article last year, for over 15 years China has conducted biowarfare research on genetically-engineered viruses coupled to a vaccine-production program to protect its own military from those China-made bioweapons.

Hold on to that thought for a moment.

The just-released memorandum written on August 21, 2021, by U.S. Marine Major Joseph Murphy to the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) is highly revealing, both for what it says and for what it doesn’t say.

Major Murphy’s analysis is based on a $14.2 million research grant application “Project DEFUSE: Defusing the Threat of Bat-borne Coronaviruses” by now-disgraced scientist Peter Daszak, head of the EcoHealth Alliance, and submitted to the DoD’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), as well as other documents to which we do not yet have access.

Daszak’s research team included the “Bat Woman” Zheng-Li Shi of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Ralph Baric of the University of North Carolina, Linfa Wang of the Duke University-National University of Singapore Medical School, Tonie Rocke of the United States Geological Survey National Wildlife Health Center in Wisconsin, and Jerome Unidad of the Palo Alto Research Center in California.

A summary of the memorandum:

1. “SARS-CoV-2 [COVID-19] is an American-created recombinant bat vaccine, or its precursor virus.”

The intent of Daszak’s DARPA proposal was to immunize bats in Chinese caves by spraying them with a vaccine based on coronaviruses that would likely “jump” from bats to humans, thereby, preventing a pandemic.

Sound far-fetched? Stand by, the details get worse.

The DEFUSE team would collect a large number of bat coronaviruses from Chinese caves, test them for their ability to infect humans, select those most likely to make the “jump” from bats to humans, analyze their structures and map evolutionary pathways.

Of course, the concept of a vaccine based on an evolutionary model, given the highly unpredictable nature of bat coronavirus mutations is, on its face, scientifically preposterous.

Yet, if they had stopped at that point and created a bat vaccine based on a natural bat coronavirus, the project would have been a failure, but at least there would not have been a COVID-19 pandemic.

They planned to isolate the spike protein, the component of coronaviruses that regulates infectively, and genetically manipulate it to make it more infectious to humans and insert it back into a bat coronavirus backbone as a virus precursor for making a bat vaccine.

The DEFUSE team writes about introducing “human specific” structures, like furin polybasic cleavage sites, where they do not occur naturally, highly indicative of bioweapon development and consistent with the Chinese military’s joint pathogen development/vaccine production program.

Dr. Fauci Claimed Yesterday that His Financials Were Available But These Claims “Just Aren’t True”

Dr. Fauci was not forthright when he claimed yesterday in front of the Senate that his financials were widely available. Dr. Fauci may be hiding his financials because of potential multi-million dollar royalties he’s received over the years on vaccines.

Yesterday, Dr. Anthony Fauci was questioned under oath by U.S. Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS). One topic regarded Fauci’s income and financial and conflict disclosures.

We’ve reported previously that Fauci is the highest-paid employee in the US government.

Open the Books has been instrumental into requesting information into Fauci’s big salary. Please watch the exchange below.

Fauci’s exchange regarding his financials.

According to Open the Books:

Dr. Fauci was very thin skinned and acted like he has a lot to hide. For example, Fauci — on a hot mic — called the senator a “moron” and blasphemed “Jesus Christ.”

Consider Fauci’s comments while under oath:

First, Fauci said, “My financial disclosure is public knowledge and has been so for the last 37 years or so the last 35 years.”

Then, Fauci said, “All you have to do is ask for it. You’re so misinformed, all you have to do is ask for it. “

Speaking for a third time, Fauci said, “What are you talking about? My financial disclosures are public knowledge and have been so. You’re getting amazingly wrong information.”

The trouble with Dr. Fauci is that his financials are NOT available.

Open the Books SUED Fauci and his agency for the information.

OpenTheBooks CEO/Founder Adam Andrzejewski joined The National Desk last night to discuss Dr. Fauci and his financial disclosures. The doctor claims these documents are open to the public, when in reality, his financials are NOT available.

Andrzejewski says that Dr. Fauci’s claims that his financials are available “Are just not true!”

The real money that Fauci has made over the years is expected to be related to royalties related to vaccines that Fauci was involved in. It’s likely these royalties are in the multimillion and Dr. Fauci is trying to cover this up. Maybe Fauci is receiving royalties on COVID vaccines. We just don’t know. This is why questions of Dr. Fauci are relevant and answers are needed.

Unfortunately, Dr. Fauci lies and lacks any transparency on his financials. Something is not right here.

WHO Joins EU and Changes Direction — Suddenly Warns Against Taking Continued COVID Booster Shots

11 January 2022 Statement

Reading time: 5 min (1345 words)

Key messages:

WHO has established the Technical Advisory Group on COVID-19 Vaccine Composition (TAG-CO-VAC) to review and assess the public health implications of emerging SARS-CoV-2 Variants of Concern (VOC) on the performance of COVID-19 vaccines and to provide recommendations to WHO on COVID-19 vaccine composition, as needed.

In the context of the circulation of Omicron SARS-CoV-2 Variant of Concern, the TAG-CO-VAC urges broader access globally to current COVID-19 vaccines for primary series and booster doses, in the hope that this also mitigates the emergence and impact of new VOCs.

The TAG-CO-VAC is considering the strain composition of COVID-19 vaccines, and encourages vaccine developers to gather data on a small scale on the breadth and magnitude of immune response for monovalent and multivalent vaccines against VOCs – this data would then be considered in a broader decision-making framework on vaccine composition by the TAG-CO-VAC.

Prince Andrew Loses Bid To Dismiss Pedo Lawsuit

A federal judge in Manhattan ruled Wednesday that the sexual abuse lawsuit against Prince Andrew will be allowed to proceed.

Virginia Giuffre has alleged that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell trafficked her to the Duke of York, who raped her when she was 17-years-old.

US District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan sided with Giuffre's lawyers, who had argued that a 2009 settlement Giuffre signed with Epstein for $500,000 - in which she agreed not to sue anyone linked to the convicted pedophile who could be a "potential defendant." Kaplan ruled that the agreement was only signed for Epstein's benefit, and not that of a "third party" like Andrew.

Andrew's motion to dismiss on these grounds was "denied in all respects" by Kaplan, as the court "cannot rewrite the 2009 Agreement to give the defendant rights where the agreement does not clearly manifest an attempt to create them."

This bad news for Andrew was compounded last week, after the Queen of England reportedly refused to foot his legal bills, forcing him to liquidate a Swiss chalet in a fire sale.

More from Jonathan Turley, who's not so sure this ruling will stick:

We discussed the novel arguments put forward by Prince Andrew, including a sweeping waiver of future claims by Giuffre in a settlement with Epstein. As we discussed earlier, the long-secret 2009 settlement contains a provision that would seem to favor Prince Andrew in seeking dismissal. In exchange for $500,000, Giuffre agreed not only to release Epstein from any liability but any “other defendants” associated with him. Giuffre agreed to “remise, release, acquit, satisfy, and forever discharge the said Second Parties and any other person or entity who could have been included as a potential defendant (‘Other Potential Defendants’) from all, and all manner of, action and actions” that she may bring, whether “state or federal.”

That is pretty sweeping and this ruling could create major appellate issues. Prince Andrew argued that he is clearly a “potential defendant” as defined by the agreement. Indeed, given his close relationship to Epstein, he was likely one of the figures in mind when Epstein sought the broad language.

Kaplan worked mightily to avoid that conclusion. She insisted that it is not clear that the 2009 settlement benefits Prince Andrew. She asked “what is a ‘potential defendant’ as distinguished from a ‘defendant’?”

It is hard to see how Prince Andrew is not a potential defendant under this sweeping argument.

The court, however, ruled that it is not clear that this agreement can be enforced by anyone other than Epstein, who is now dead. According to this logic, any limits on Giuffre died with him. Yet, that means that Giuffre accepted half a million dollars on the promise not to sue any potential defendants but will now be able to do precisely that in federal court.

I have no sympathy for Prince Andrew and the question of enforceability is a difficult one. However, this and other issues raised by his defense team are credible and likely to be raised on appeal.

Cannabis could prevent Covid, study claims

Scientists argue that hemp could hold the key to defeating new variants

The next breakthrough in stopping Covid-19 may come not from Big Pharma, but from the humble pot plant. Researchers in Oregon in the US discovered that two compounds found in the devil’s lettuce can stop the virus in its tracks.

Rather than attempting to smoke their way to immunity, a team of scientists at the University of Oregon isolated two compounds from hemp – cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) and cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) – and found that they bind to the coronavirus’ spike protein and in turn prevent it from binding to the outer membrane of human cells.

This latter binding process is normally how the virus enters the human lungs and other organs.

The two compounds are precursors to CBG and CBD, which are widely legal and available to consumers. CBG and CBD cannabis oils and extracts are commonly used to treat anxiety, sleep disorders, epilepsy, and a wide range of other ailments.

US Federal Agencies Warn Critical Infrastructure Organizations of Cyber Threats From Russian Hackers

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and National Security Agency on Tuesday issued a joint cybersecurity advisory warning critical infrastructure organizations of cyber threats from Russian state-sponsored hackers in an effort to help reduce the risks posed by such threats.

“Historically, Russian state-sponsored advanced persistent threat (APT) actors have used common but effective tactics—including spearphishing, brute force, and exploiting known vulnerabilities against accounts and networks with weak security—to gain initial access to target networks,” the advisory reads.

Officials listed a string of known vulnerabilities exploited by suspected Russian hacking groups in the past.

“Russian state-sponsored APT actors have also demonstrated sophisticated tradecraft and cyber capabilities by compromising third-party infrastructure, compromising third-party software, or developing and deploying custom malware,” officials said. “The actors have also demonstrated the ability to maintain persistent, undetected, long-term access in compromised environments—including cloud environments—by using legitimate credentials.”

Officials said that in some cases, Russian state-sponsored cyber operations against critical infrastructure organizations have “specifically targeted operational technology (OT)/industrial control systems (ICS) networks with destructive malware” and listed a string of malware used in such attacks.

The agencies noted that hackers have targeted “state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments and aviation networks” from September 2020, through at least December 2020 and were able to successfully infiltrate networks and get their hands on data from multiple victims.

Through 2011 to 2018, Russian hackers were also able to remotely access U.S. and international energy sector networks where they deployed malware and collected ICS-related data.

Between 2015 and 2016, Russian state-sponsored APT actors conducted a cyberattack against Ukrainian energy distribution companies, officials said, which led to those companies experiencing unplanned power outages in December 2015.

“CISA, the FBI, and NSA encourage the cybersecurity community—especially critical infrastructure network defenders—to adopt a heightened state of awareness, conduct proactive threat hunting, and implement the mitigations identified in the joint CSA,” the notice continues.

The agencies recommend that critical infrastructure organizations be prepared for such attacks by minimizing personnel gaps in the technologies used to protect people, assets, and information, creating and maintaining a cyber incident response plan, and reporting any such incidents to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, among others.

“These mitigations will help organizations improve their functional resilience by reducing the risk of compromise or severe business degradation,” officials said.

The notice comes after U.S. and Russian negotiators concluded special talks on Monday which were aimed at deescalating ongoing tensions over Russia’s increased military presence along the Ukrainian border.

Despite several hours of talks in the Swiss city of Geneva, no major progress appeared to have been made.

“Unfortunately we have a great disparity in our principled approaches to this,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said during a news conference on Monday. “The U.S. and Russia in some ways have opposite views on what needs to be done.”

Ryabkov also stressed after the meeting that Moscow has no plans to invade Ukraine, despite growing concern among Western nations after Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly amassed more than 100,000 soldiers near the border shared by the two nations, sparking concerns of a possible invasion. Russia has repeatedly denied the accusation.

BoJo Apologizes For Attending "Partygate" Garden Party But Refuses To Resign As Public Pressure Builds

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson hasn't exactly had an easy ride since taking over from his predecessor Theresa May in late 2019, just months before the COVID pandemic engulfed the world. And since the dawn of the pandemic, BoJo and his senior advisors have been repeatedly accused of hypocrisy. The issue at hand is that the British government famously imposed some of the most complicated restrictions on movement and businesses during the first year and a half of the pandemic.

As millions of Britons struggled to comply with onerous restrictions like the "rule of six", over in Downing Street, BoJo and his team sometimes acted like the rules didn't apply to them. First there was Dominic Cummings, BoJo's (deeply unpopular) senior advisor, who ended up quitting way back in November 2020 after he was caught breaking the lockdown rules that he helped to craft.

But the most recent scandal directly involves the prime minister himself, and enough public anger has been harnessed that increasingly members of the opposition (and even some loyal Tories) are pushing on him to resign. The reason is that footage has emerged from inside Downing Street showing the PM and some of his top aides holding a holiday party. The ensuing scandal over the incident has even earned its own nickname: "Partygate".

To be clear, "Partygate" doesn't refer to just one incident: An official probe is looking into at least seven occasions in 2020 when BoJo and his Downing Street staff may have held "parties" in violation of lockdown rules. But the most galling incident involves a garden party held at No. 10 back in May 2020.

The backlash has already led to the resignation of at least one BoJo aide: Allegra Stratton, a press secretary who was caught on tape joking about breaking lockdown rules.

But now it's proving harder for the government to justify the "bring your own booze" Garden Party mentioned above.

On Wednesday morning, BoJo faced the House of Commons to answer questions about "Partygate" as an official investigation led by Sue Gray continues its work. During his remarks, BoJo repeatedly apologized, but he insisted he truly didn't feel at the time that these incidents violated the lockdown guidelines, and that Gray's inquiry has so far painted him in an unfairly harsh light.

"Although I cannot support the conclusions of the current inquiry…I have learned enough that there are things that we certainly didn't get right, and I must take responsibility," BoJo said.

School Cop Busted by Fellow Officers in Child Sex Sting, Attempting to Lure Underage Girl for Sex

Boone County, KY — Officials with the Augusta Independent School district are working with authorities to root out potential abuse after a district police officer was caught attempting to lure a child for sex online. Augusta police officer Ryan Hill was arrested on Monday and immediately posted a $100,000 bond.

Like so many other child predators, Hill was caught in an online sting in which undercover officers pose as children online. Hill was recorded during the sting operation sending sexually explicit photos and texts to the undercover officer he thought was a child.

According to officials, the conversations lasted several days as Hill described all the things he wanted to perform on the girl. Highlighting his brazen above the law attitude, Hill even admitted to the undercover officer that he was a police officer.

After admitting he was a cop, detectives with the task force determined that Hill worked with the Augusta police department.

Hill, who only recently joined the department in August of 2021, was one of three officers assigned to the Augusta Independent School, according to police.

As TFTP has pointed out in the past, child predators are often attracted to positions of power which give them access to children. As he had only been with the school district for 5 months, his chances of multiple victims are lower but not impossible.

After he was arrested, Augusta police chief Charles Blackmar Jr. said in a statement that Hill is no longer part of their department “effective immediately.”

Blackmar told reporters that he and his officers are working with the school district to investigate the possibility of other victims.

Hill has since been charged with one count of unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities. Given the amount of his bail at $100,000, the contents of his messages with the undercover agents must have been extreme as similar charges would carry a bond nearly as high.

“The mere fact, in this case, we had an adult who was speaking unlawfully with who they thought was a 15-year-old female is something we won’t tolerate,” officials with the sheriff’s office explained. “No matter his background, and where he may come from, or what his profession is, the act within itself is something we’re going to investigate. If it materializes in an arrest, we’re going to place those people under arrest.”

Though Hill was arrested, it is highly unlikely that he will serve any time in jail. This system is set up in a way that it puts drug users and sellers away for far longer periods than those who prey on children — especially cops.

Liberal media deafeningly silent on report indicating Biden admin was behind letter describing parents as domestic terrorists

The left-leaning American news media has so far refused to cover a bombshell report indicating that the Biden administration may have been instrumental in the drafting of a letter that compared protesting parents to domestic terrorists and requested the Patriot Act be used against them.

What are the details?

A newly obtained email exchange appeared to show that the highly controversial Sept. 29 National School Boards Association letter that directly resulted in the FBI using counterterrorism tactics against parents was drafted and sent to President Biden at the direction of Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.

The email communication — obtained by activist group Parents Defending Education through a Freedom of Information Act request — raised serious concerns that the administration had predetermined to go to war against parents protesting school lockdowns and critical race theory in classrooms, merely formulating the letter as a cover.

One would think such news would be gripping enough for media outlets to cover. But that has not been the case. Newsbusters reported Wednesday that in the roughly 24 hours since the news broke, only one news network covered it.

"Despite this stunning revelation, all three evening broadcast shows ignored the report," the outlet said., adding, "While ABC 'World News Tonight,' NBC 'Nightly News,' and CBS 'Evening News' all ignored the story, Fox's 'Special Report' reported on it during the show's A-block."

As of Wednesday afternoon, the email exchange citing Cardona as the letter's solicitor wasn't reported on by CNN, either. Nor was it covered by any of the three major American news sources: the Associated Press, the New York Times, or the Washington Post.

The email exchange has been covered by a variety of conservative news sources.

What's the background?

In the Oct. 5 email, the NSBA's secretary-treasurer Kristi Swett told fellow board member Marnie Maldonado that interim CEO Chip Slaven had "told the [board] officers he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cardona."

Maldonado had expressed concerns to Swett that the letter was sent without following board policy. The board member also complained that the letter "essentially allowed the White House to direct the Attorney General to consider members of our community 'domestic terrorists.'"

Shortly after the letter was sent to Biden, on Oct. 4, Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a memo dispatching the FBI to meet a supposed "disturbing spike" of "harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence" against school administrators, board members, and other personnel.

The FBI followed the orders by creating a "threat tag, EDUOFFICIALS," for agents to "track" any "threats of violence or fear" against school personnel.

Anything else?

In a statement to the Washington Free Beacon, the Department of Education denied allegations that Cardona had requested the letter.

“While the Secretary did not solicit a letter from the NSBA, to understand the views and concerns of stakeholders, the Department routinely engages with students, teachers, parents, district leaders, and education associates,” a department spokesperson said.

Biden Rehires Obama’s ‘Gain Of Function’ Risk Analyst.

Andrew Hebbeler, an Obama-era official tasked with overseeing the administration’s review of funding “gain of function” research – a form of pathogen manipulation which many believe led to COVID-19 – was re-appointed under President Joe Biden, serving in the same agency: the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Hebbeler’s appointment comes amidst controversy over the risky form of research – which often entails increasing the lethality, virulence, and transmissibility of a pathogen – and its relevance to the origins of COVID-19. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) admitted, despite repeated denials from Anthony Fauci, that the taxpayer-funded non-profit EcoHealth Alliance conducted gain of function research on “killer” bat coronaviruses in collaboration with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Many experts point to the Chinese Communist Party-run lab as the source of COVID-19.

During the Obama years, Hebbeler oversaw the review of gain of function research policy, following the administration’s decision to halt federal funds from going to the risky research method in 2014. At the time, he served as the Assistant Director for Biological and Chemical Threats in the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).

He was the only White House official present at a National Academy of Sciences 2014 symposium – the “Potential Risks and Benefits of Gain-of-Function Research” – that served as the primary forum to discuss the scientific community’s approach to gain of function research.

Speaking for nearly 15 minutes at a session titled “Current U.S. Government Policy on GoF Research Proposals and Charge to the Academies,” Hebbeler communicated the federal government’s approach to deciding how to regulate the risky research.

“We come together to discuss a very important issue: gain of function research and how we can work together in partnership with the life sciences community to establish a framework that will guide future federal investments in this area of research,” he began. Hebbeler explains his role within the OSTP as “focusing on biological threats.”

“It really is the spectrum of risk from natural outbreaks of infectious disease on one side of the spectrum through laboratory accidents to deliberate acts of bioterrorism,” he clarified in reference to the issues falling under his purview.

“In the U.S. government’s own deliberations that preceded the announcement, the highest concern in the gain of function area was really for respiratory pathogens that possessed pandemic potential. These included MERS, SARS, as well as influenza,” Hebbeler added.
