“If Russia prevails again,” she warned, “we will remain stuck in a crisis not just over Ukraine but about the future of the global order far beyond that country’s borders. Left unrestrained, Putin will move swiftly, grab some land, consolidate his gains, and set his sights on the next satellite state in his long game to restore all the pre-1991 borders: the sphere of geographical influence he deems was unjustly stripped from Great Russia.”

Who the Hell Is Evelyn Farkas?

For the past few days, a wide range of conservative media outlets have been losing their stuff over the apparent revelations of an interview that aired nearly a month ago with a former Obama official named Evelyn Farkas. A clip of the interview titled “Obama Aide Evelyn Farkas Squeals Live On MSNBC: ‘I Helped Spy On Trump For Obama’(VIDEO)!!!” has been viewed on YouTube more than 300,000 times. During Friday’s press briefing, White House press secretary Sean Spicer referenced Farkas by name: “I think that the revelations of Evelyn Farkas —who played a senior role in the Obama administration —going on the record to talk about how they politically used classified information is troubling.” Wait, though: Who the hell is Eveyln Farkas?

Let’s start from the beginning. Early this month, the New York Times published a story about Obama administration officials working to preserve and disseminate intelligence about Russian efforts to influence November’s election across the government before President Obama left office. According to the article, officials were concerned that some of that intelligence, including intercepted communications from Russians detailing contacts with people in Trump’s circle and information on Russian meetings with Trump associates, would be “covered up or destroyed” by the Trump administration.

diggers, find this video:

Speaking to MSNBC, she explicitly confessed that:

She helped spy on Trump for Obama before he left the White House

Trump, not Russians, were the targets of surveillance

She was concerned about hiding their methods from Trump

She encouraged leaks because she was “worried” about Russians

“People on the Hill” (Congress) knew about Obama’s spy plot

Man who faked death to evade sex assault, fraud charges found alive

A Rhode Island man who faked his own death to evade sex assault and fraud charges has been found alive in Scotland, reports said.

Nicholas Alahverdian, who also goes by the last name Rossi, supposedly died at age 32 in February 2020 from non-Hodgkin lymphoma but turned up last month at a Glasgow hospital where he was on a ventilator for COVID-19, the Providence Journal reported Wednesday.

Hospital staffers only learned that Alahverdian, who was living under the name Arthur Knight, was a wanted by Interpol when authorities turned up last month at the infirmary and arrested him, the Scottish Sun reported.

The fugitive was on the run from criminal charges in Utah and Ohio, and faked his death so he could avoid prosecution, the Utah County Attorney’s Office told the Providence Journal.

“He has been taken into custody and the Utah County Attorney’s Office is working with federal and international agencies to extradite Mr. Rossi back to Utah,” the agency said in a statement.

Alahverdian is suspected in a number of sexual assault cases in Utah and throughout the US and is also accused of bilking $200,000 from his former foster mother in Ohio and $60,000 from Kathryn Heckendorn, his ex-wife, the Providence Journal reported.

Weeks before his “death” in February 2020, Alahverdian urged local Rhode Island reporters to write about his impending demise, asserting that his work crusading against the child welfare system made it newsworthy, the outlet said.

When the journalists failed to write about it, he grew angry, the outlet said.

An obituary written about Alahverdian’s “death” called him a “warrior” for children and stated his last words were “fear not and run toward the bliss of the sun.”

A person who claimed to be his wife asked lawmakers to participate in elaborate memorials of his life but the plans were squashed when word spread that Alahverdian was potentially still alive.

“At first I didn’t believe it,” Heckendorn told the outlet of the moment a Utah public safety official called to tell her Alahverdian had been captured.

“I said this has to be Nick; he probably hired someone to get in touch with me to scope out the situation, because that’s the very special kind of deception he would do.”

Alahverdian is facing extradition proceedings in the UK, but It’s unclear when will be brought back stateside.

Prince Andrew will likely be asked about ‘private parts’ in sex assault case: lawyers

Prince Andrew will almost certainly be asked about his private parts in his sex-assault lawsuit — and his accuser’s attorneys will likely try to depose Queen Elizabeth II, according to a lawyer for Jeffrey Epstein victims.

The 61-year-old UK royal will be called on to give a deposition under oath after failing Wednesday in his bid to toss the lawsuit filed by longtime accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre — leaving nothing off the table.

“It is without question the Duke will be asked about his private parts,” Spencer Kuvin, an attorney for several Epstein victims, told the Mirror.

“Nothing is off limits, because if an underage girl can describe what the Duke of York’s private parts look like … how would that be if they had not had a relationship?” Kuvin asked.

Andrew would not have to fly to the US — where authorities have long wanted to quiz him on what he knew about pedophile pal Epstein — but would be questioned “under oath, under penalty of perjury of US law” by Giuffre’s legal team, Kuvin said.

That would include more questions about the close ties he had to Epstein and convicted madam Ghislaine Maxwell that led to him being bumped from royal duties in 2019.

Giuffre attorney David Boies has previously confirmed that his team plans to try to depose a dozen or so people, including some in Andrew’s “inner circle.”

Boies has confirmed that will likely include Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle — with Kuvin speculating that he could have even more majestic targets.
