More than a year after 1/6 and with growing political pressure from Democrats, the Biden DOJ filed its first sedition charges – against Oath Keeper Stewart Rhodes. Sedition charges are very rare and hard: will be interesting to see if they can convict.

"The U.S. government has successfully convicted fewer than 12 Americans for treason in the nation’s history."
The last charge was 2010 – against members of the Hutaree Militia. The judge dismissed the case, saying it was based on protected speech.

It is interesting that the excuse for not charging Ray Epps was that he was merely on restricted ground but never entered the Capitol.
By all accounts, Rhodes also never entered the Capitol, so sedition will have to depend on his incitement/planning.

Rhodes will be an interesting case. I photographed him on the Capitol East side; he was generally speaking to several men, but he did not appear to go inside or physically get involved with the action.

Normally it should go without saying ,but in this authoritarian climate, it does not:
A charge by the DOJ especially one under political pressure isn't tantamount to proof of guilt. The last sedition charges by the Obama DOJ were tossed out.

why doesn't Ukraine just abide by the Minsk accord that they signed?
>Putin wants to recreate Great Russia at least back to pre-1991.
Who cares. Catherine the Great, Tzarina of Russia fought the Turks over Crimea and Ukraine, and won. that was 250 years ago. Ukraine and Crimea have belonged to Russia longer that Texas, California, Nevada etc has belonged to USA.
I might care if Putin was actually the aggressor. He isn't. He is responding to NATO and US agression which is pushing Russia into Chyna's sphere.
You must be one of those Brzinski or Ukranians with a patholigical hatred of Russia that has hijacked North American foreign policy. Nuland, Brzinski, Freeland
