Not sure of the State Protection and Counter-Terrorism Agency part. Verfassungsschutz is the constitutional protections agency. Big fucking difference to where this may be heading, IMO.

WELT in the 1st couple of paragraphs I skimmed is reporting that Thomas Haldenwang, President of the federal Office for Constitutional Protections thinks that the current protests can't be linked to extremism, or just with Covid policy, rather they are disaffected citizens who are completely rejecting the fundamental principles of a democratic state. They've become enemies of the state.

Short and sweet; my take from my translation, is that people are pissed at the form and function of the current government. It has failed and has done nothing for it's citizens. It's not ideological driven, so you can't buttonhole any particular group as the bad boys. It's become endemic, and affects any and all government policy,

Haaldenwang names the migration policy and the flood response as sore spots that exemplify the uselessness of the state to these people.

Big take away is Haldenwang saying he can't put a finger at how big the disaffection really is because he can't localize it to specific ideologies. It's heterogeneous. Pissed off people across the board.

Going to repeat the that the President of the Federal Bureau for constitutional protections saying this. The article finishes by saying the people have given up on the police. Police are OUT. Strangely, to me, anyway, is that he says after the pandemic shit blows over, people may latch on to another pet peeve. Climate change. Fucking climate change, and he's worried people may not buy in.

Pretty fucking big deal here, if you axe me, guise. WELT not necessarily pig lipstickers. They have a little BILD in them from time to time.
