I like Joe and some of the guest bloggers. Been reading GP since about 2004ish. One of about 20 or so I read daily. I am seriously surprised it, of all the Blogs started during that time has survived and could even be considered prosperous. Seen way better ones go into the dust bin.

24th INF DIV here. Missed DS by being in a nuke capable Artillery unit in West Germany but wound on on a rotation to Kuwait in 93, still got the patch and service medals. Then a Safari to Somalia for a few months to top off a stellar career of 4 years and a week in Uncle Sam's Army.
I even sort of miss it sometimes.
I PCSed Der Doucheland when my unit deactivated in Dec 91. Then 1rst BGDE 24th at Ft Stewart. until 94.
