FBI: Suspect attacked officer โ€œwithout provocationโ€ at Pentagon bus platform

ARLINGTON (WDVM) โ€” The FBI released preliminary details on the fatal stabbing of Pentagon police officer George Gonzalez Tuesday morning.

 

Federal investigators say on Tuesday around 10:43 am, Austin William Lanz exited a bus at the Pentagon Transit Center in Arlington, VA, and with no provocation immediately attacked officer Gonzalez with a knife.

Former Seahawks player Siavii found dead in Kansas federal prison

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (AP) โ€” A former Seahawks defensive lineman was found dead in a Kansas federal prison where he was being held on charges of illegal firearms possession, a prison official said.

 

Saousoalii Siavii Jr., 43, was found unresponsive at the U.S. Penitentiary in Leavenworth on Thursday afternoon, U.S. Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Anna Armijo said in a statement, The Kansas City Star reported. Siavii was treated by prison staff and taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

 

The prison did not release additional details about Siavii's death. An email sent to a BOP spokesperson from The Associated Press was not immediately returned Friday.

 

An email seeking comment from Siavii's attorney was not immediately returned Friday.

Internet service in parts of Beirut, capital of Lebanon, has been disconnected since Sunday morning, local media have reported.

 

Imad Kreidieh, chairman of Lebanon state telecoms provider Ogero, tweeted on Sunday, "With the early hours of the morning, the communication with Beirut's third district will be cut off, and the Central Mazraa will stop working as our last liter of diesel runs out."
