For the record, this is the hash:

f768deaef22da979abcfb73c9175b54d71fcf891666c5449c1969c07c3cc8920

I've downloaded the image and reuploaded to /test/ but I get the wrong hash. My theory is that the image server calculates the hash from the uploaded data (byte for byte) and then changes the metadata so that the downloaded copy is not the exact same. If this is the case then Q just verified himself beyond reasonable doubt. Can someone prove differently?

What was your procedure with the Trump photo?

No, I did not download the thumbnail. On a hunch, I tried downloading as mime type "text/plain" but got the exact same result so it isn't a case of the browser itself modifying the metadata or the image. I'll conduct further tests but I think I'm right. That image could only have been uploaded by Q. Somebody has to prove me wrong.

So the metadata did not change. Maybe there is no metadata in your photo. Or maybe Q insert special metadata that he knows will be removed by the server. Sneaky bastard.

>Checked notables versus other news sources, so not sure if that counts tho

I use the notables as my main news source. If anything important happens in the world, this is the place to find out about it. I might poke through one or two breads to see what anons are saying but not often. I've been on the board for several hours today but that is the first time in over a month.

No. Download file name is not relevant. I already tested that.

It can't be IP address either because I've uploaded images in the past with different IPs and the hash is unchanged.

>It seems 8kun handles PNGs differently, which is very surprising.

We need to look at the metadata.

I think I have a tool here for that. Will check it out.
