Parkland students' 'die-in' protest turns into shouting match with Trump supporters
The "die-in" protest organized by Parkland, Fla., students quickly turned into a clash against Trump supporters on Friday.
Students led by David Hogg laid on the floor in honor of those killed in the Parkland shooting while chanting against the National Rifle Association.
"Hey, hey NRA, how many kids have you killed today?" the students said in one video captured by a local news station.
Trump supporters, some wearing apparel featuring President Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan, surrounded the students and chanted the president's name in return.

Homeland Security proposes halting 'startup visas' for foreign entrepreneurs
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Friday proposed ending a rule that allows international entrepreneurs to temporarily stay in the U.S. to help develop their businesses in the country.
DHS said it wants to eliminate the Obama-era rule on so-called "startup visas" because it believes “it represents an overly broad interpretation of parole authority, lacks sufficient protections for U.S. workers and investors, and is not the appropriate vehicle for attracting and retaining international entrepreneurs.”
DHS's proposal will be officially posted Tuesday, kicking off a 30-day public comment period.
The proposal from DHS comes the same day it announced it would allow 15,000 more seasonal workers into the country in 2018 under the H-2B visa program. The workers will be available for businesses at risk of failing without the extra workforce.
Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said that move was intended to offset the problems with the H-2B visa program that had led to "a situation where the program unintentionally harms American businesses."
Nielsen’s decision comes almost a month after it was reported that Maryland's crab industry lost about half of its workforce — an effect of the Trump administration more stringent controls on temporary work visas.

Former USS John Mc**** officer pleads guilty after deadly collision
The former commanding officer of the USS John McCain has pleaded guilty to dereliction of duty, after a deadly August collision near Singapore.
A military judge accepted a guilty plea from Cmdr. Alfredo Sanchez on Friday during a special court-martial aboard the Washington Navy Yard, according to the Pentagon. He must forfeit $2,000 in pay for three months, and a pretrial agreement contained a requirement that Sanchez submit his request to retire from the U.S. Navy. Sanchez, who was reassigned after the incident, had originally been charged with negligent homicide.
The collision with an oil tanker killed 10 U.S. sailors and injured five more, and was one of several accidents in the region that raised concerns over the safety and operational effectiveness of U.S. naval vessels. The Navy determined it was "evident the collision was preventable, the commanding officer exercised poor judgment and the executive officer exercised poor leadership of the ship's training program."
