Originally ARCOR (Arizona Correctional) their website says they "receivedappropriated fundsto support its operations. Today, ACI is a vibrant self-funded business within the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR)."

In light of additional information found, it becomes evident that a change in Arizona correctional leadership may have been a good idea. In July 2019 2 corrections officers were arrested for their alleged part in and/or coverup of a violent inmate-on-inmate assault.

In this ADCRR announcement, thedeactivation of its Florence prison. More than 2700 adult inmates are being moved to the La Palma Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ. CoreCivics has been selected for this effort and has a dependable record with ADCRR since 2012. CoreCivics houses 1929 inmates in the Red Rock Correctional Center (also in Eloy).

It's just a coincidence, I'm sure. Erin says, "I grew up in Arizona, though moved around a bit before coming back to Phoenix in 2013. Of further interest to Anons, may be some of the unusual places in the vicinity of Florence, AZ and the Florence prison. Arizona Oddities tells us that there is a Pyramid in the Florence area. The pyramid was built to honor Charles Poston, the "Father of Arizona" who once wanted to build a temple to the sun.
