Expect Fauci to retire this year

America's (most political) Doctor knows which way the wind is blowing

… So, barring nuclear war, the Republicans are going to be running the House in 2023.

Ladeez and yentlemen, I present your new Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Jim Jordan!

Jordan’s investigators are already finding treasure in Saint Fauci’s emails; come 2023, he will have subpoena power. Which you can expect him to use to probe deeply into lotsa stuff, including what the bright boys knew or suspected about the origins of the virus, and why they insisted so loudly THAT IT WAS TOTALLY NATURAL, TOTES, ABSOLUTEMONT MY FRIENDS! (I’m in a good mood this morning, if you couldn’t tell.)

… And he’s not going to want to retire after the election, because retiring after the election would be too obvious. Anyway, the Biden administration is sick of him too, partly because his every appearance reminds the public that Covid is still going strong, and partly because they were dumb enough to believe him in early 2021 when he told them that the ro was going bye-bye and Uncle Joe should push vaccines and get all the credit.

So, no, the grand farewell tour will probably begin sometime this summer, with articles in the New Yorker and the Atlantic.

The man’s 81 years old, he’s been working 29-hour-days for the last two years, he wants to spend some time with his family. Besides, we’ve beaten Covid now!

Starbucks reverses Vaccine Mandate for employees…

Unlike Carhartt, Starbucks listened to the Supreme Court.

Starbucks is no longer requiring its U.S. workers to be vaccinated against COVID, reversing a policy it announced earlier this month. In a memo sent Tuesday to employees, the Seattle coffee giant said it was responding to last week’s ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court. In a 6-3 vote, the court rejected the Biden administration’s plan to require vaccines or regular COVID testing at companies with more than 100 workers.

“We respect the court’s ruling and will comply,” Starbucks John Culver wrote in the memo.

Starbucks reversal is among the most high-profile corporate actions in response to the Supreme Court ruling. Many other big companies, including Target, have been mum on their plans.

In Tuesday’s memo, Culver said the company continues to strongly encourage vaccinations and booster shots. The company also told workers on Tuesday that they shouldn’t wear cloth masks to work, and should instead use medical-grade surgical masks. Starbucks required workers to reveal their vaccination status by Jan. 10. The company said Wednesday that 90% have reported and the “vast majority” are fully vaccinated. Starbucks wouldn’t say what percent of workers are not fully vaccinated.

Starbucks employs 228,000 people in the U.S.

‘Hate This Fag’: Chuck Schumer’s Media Director Has a History of Gay-Bashing Tweets.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s Deputy Director of Digital Media Caroline Burns authored several anti-gay posts on Twitter, including repeated use of the word “faggot,” The National Pulse can reveal.

Since May 2020, Burns has worked in the office of New York Senator Chuck Schumer, who has frequently criticized Republicans for allegedly attacking LGBT people.

“Their attacks on trans people and the transgender community are just mean. Mean. And show a complete lack of understanding, a complete lack of empathy,” Schumer lectured from the Senate floor in response to Republican colleagues expressing opposition to the Equality Act in February 2021.

Despite Schumer’s posturing, The National Pulse can reveal homophobic posts from one of his most senior communication aides.

“[K]ill me I hate this fag,” wrote Burns in a Tweet from July 2011.
