The TGA has granted provisional approval to Novavax - the first protein Covid-19 vaccine approved in Australia.

The vaccine will be available to Australians aged 18 and above and will be administered in two doses three weeks apart.

Novavax will not yet be used as a booster shot.

The man leading Australia's vaccine rollout, Lieutenant General John Frewen, said he expected one or two per cent of unvaccinated residents would be holding out for the new vaccine.

'If anyone has decided that's what they want to wait for, they'll be able to get it as quickly as they can,' he told 4BC radio on Wednesday.

Katherine Keating, the daughter of former prime minister Paul Keating, has re-emerged in Sydney after keeping a low profile since a video of her at the apartment of Jeffrey Epstein emerged two years ago.

Ms Keating, the third child of Mr Keating and his former wife Anita, revealed her return to Sydney via Instagram where she was in the company of wealthy entertainment venues baron, Justin Hemmes.

'With the maestro of Merivale and my dear old friend @justinhemmes,' Ms Keating posted from the entrepreneur's new MuMu eatery.

News of Ms Keating has been scarce since she was identified in 2019 as the 'mystery' woman being farewelled from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's New York townhouse by Prince Andrew.
