2018 CPB Serial Killer Laredo, TX.

LAREDO, Texas – Juan David Ortiz, a U.S. Border Patrol agent accused of murdering four women in the area last month, probably used his government-issued, semiautomatic weapon to carry out the killings, according to law enforcement officials.

Police found .40-caliber casings at the scene of each of the murders, consistent with the agency-issued .40-caliber HK P2000 semiautomatic pistol found in Ortiz’s truck when he was arrested Sept. 15, said Isidro Alaniz, district attorney for Webb and Zapata Counties, in an exclusive interview with USA TODAY.

Henry Cuellar statement

"The arrest of the border patrol agent who has allegedly committed multiple murders could not have happened without the hard work and expertise of the Texas Rangers, the Webb County Sheriff's Office, the Webb County District Attorney's Office, and Laredo Police Department.

Having just spoken with Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar, there is no doubt in my mind that the heroic efforts of these four agencies have saved lives; they are to be commended. Establishing and maintaining high standards for Border Patrol agents is a top priority for my office. We have advocated for and implemented new standards during the hiring process as well as new standards of professionalism after joining Border Patrol.

Oops, tagged wrong post. Meant to tag the post about Ron's petition. Anyhoo, Ron and Jim, if you pass through Payson make sure you stop and try the pies at the Beeline Cafe. Also I did some digging into the independent committee that changed the districts. The head of it is a psychiatrist from Phoenix and the Vice was kicked off the AZ gaming commission for nepotism. The whole thing seems sketchy to me.
