NCAA brass is full of followers, not leaders. Big money dictates their stance. If there was a shred of ethics/morality there, they would send their spokesperson out to say, "This transgender athlete stuff is crazy and destructive, and we denounce it." Instead, they point in every direction but themselves.
Your words are valid. Nevertheless, many people have looked inside and said, "I can no longer work for company/organization X, as their actions in embracing a lie violate all that I believe."
