Sadiq Khan and Health Secretary Javid Stick to Masks Despite England Mask Mandate Scrapped
The Mayor of London and the British Health Secretary have both pledged to continue wearing masks in public and Sadiq Khan will still require Londoners to wear a mask on the tube regardless of the national mask mandate being lifted.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on the 19th of January 2022 that after looking “at the data carefully” the government has decided the mask mandate in England would be coming to an end shortly, and the government will “no longer criminalise anyone who chooses not to wear one”.
Despite the government declaring the science suggests masks are becoming obsolete, the leftist Mayor of London Sadiq Khan will still require Londoners to wear a mask on all Transport for London services, including trains, tubes and busses.
Posting on Twitter, Khan told Londoners: “Reminder: wearing a face covering is still mandatory on all TfL services unless you’re exempt. I’ll wear mine when I’m out and about. Please continue to wear yours”.
In another tweet, Khan told Londoners “If we have learnt anything from this pandemic, it is that we must not get complacent and undo all our hard work and sacrifices”.
Londoner’s will be somewhat relieved to hear the Khan does not have the legal authority to continue fining Londoners for not wearing a face covering on TfL services. In the period of the 30th of November 2021 to January 2022, Khan’s administration issued 1,552 people who refused to wear a mask on Transport for London services with £200 fines.
However, Khan has instructed TfL to refuse entry to or ask individuals to leave if they are not wearing a mask, which he does have the ability to do thanks to the railway bylaws he controls.

US Special Operations Forces Continue Mission in Ukraine Amid Russia Tensions
US special operators have been in Ukraine for several years to train troops
US special operations forces are continuing a mission to train troops in Ukraine amid heightened tensions with Russia, Stars and Stripes reported on Wednesday.
An undisclosed number of US special operators has been training Ukrainian forces inside Ukraine for several years under a mission led by US Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR).
“The bottom line is that our training mission in Ukraine is ongoing,” said Lt. Col. Juan Martinez, a spokesman for SOCEUR. “We continue to view our mission in Ukraine as part of an ongoing effort in enhancing Special Operations Forces capabilities as a keystone for regional stability.”
There is a renewed focus on the presence of US military personnel in Ukraine as the White House is claiming Russia is preparing to invade the country. Besides the special operations, there are also about 100 US National Guard troops in Ukraine.
US training and support for Ukraine’s military is a major point of tensions between the US and Russia, and the cooperation goes far beyond the special operators’ mission. Since the 2014 US-backed coup in Kyiv, the US has provided about $2.5 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
Last week, Yahoo News reported that the CIA has been training Ukrainian paramilitaries at a base inside the United States since 2015. The New York Times reported that the Biden administration is considering backing an insurgency in Ukraine if Russia invades.

Arab League Describes Israeli Demolitions in Occupied Jerusalem as Ethnic Cleansing
The Arab League condemned on Wednesday Israeli demolition of Palestinian-owned houses in occupied Jerusalem, describing it as ethnic cleansing, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The comments came following the demolition of the Salhia family home in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, which displaced 13 people, mainly children.
In a statement released by its Palestine affairs representative Said Abu Ali, the Arab League said that what happened in Sheikh Jarrah is “a war crime and ethnic cleansing.”
Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh also condemned Israeli actions.
“This crime is part of (Israeli) policies of persecution, racism and ethnic cleansing against indigenous landowners in favor of settlers,” Shtayyeh said in a statement, calling on the United Nations to intervene to put a stop to such policies.

Netflix reality TV star Maya Vander told her fans last week of her devastating grief after she delivered a stillborn baby at 38 weeks of pregnancy December 9.
“Yesterday was the hardest day of my life,” Vander, 39, posted on Instagram, with a picture of new baby clothes in a memory box she was taking home from hospital instead of her baby boy. “I always heard of it but never imagined I’ll be part of the statistics.”
Vander, a Beverly Hills real estate agent who stars on the show “Selling Sunset,” had posted a photo of herself in November from a pregnancy shoot and looked the picture of health. Described as “fully vaccinated,” by US magazine, Vander has two other children: Aiden, two, and daughter Elle, one.
After her loss, she wrote in Insider magazine that she had felt less movement from the baby a few days before she learned her baby had died and also that her husband and two children were COVID-positive, although she had tested negative. She said the baby, who was “perfect” and weighed seven pounds and four ounces, would be autopsied.
There was a flurry of sympathetic news coverage about Vander’s loss, but not one article dared to ask burning questions: did COVID shots during her pregnancy have something to do with this baby’s death? Or did COVID have something to do with it, and the COVID shots failed?
Data Pfizer didn’t want you to see
When a group called Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency asked Pfizer to share the raw data from their COVID vaccine trials and post-marketing surveillance that was used to license the injection, the pharma giant linked up with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to refuse the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
In fact, the FDA (meant to serve and protect public health) hired Justice Department lawyers and went to court to shield the pharmaceutical giant from having to reveal its data – for 55 years. That’s right. The FDA and Pfizer did not want anyone to see the numbers behind their COVID vaccine until 2076.

She Pulled a Cuomo: Report Shows Gretchen Whitmer Hid Thousands of COVID Fatalities, Deaths Underreported by 30%
Disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo received intense criticism for ordering his state’s nursing homes to accept COVID-19 patients as the pandemic started taking off, then allegedly lying about the number of COVID-19 deaths in his state’s nursing home.
He may not have been the only Democratic governor to do so.
According to Just the News, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer was accused of undercounting nursing home deaths in new report.
The report came from the state’s auditor general, Doug Ringler, and identified 8,061 COVID related deaths in long-term care facilities.
This was an increase of over 2,000 deaths compared Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ 5,675 self-reported deaths as of July 2, 2021.
While this actually represents an undercounting of 42 percent, the report spent “several pages explaining why the state’s responsibility for undercounting was 30%.”
In a written response to the probe addressed to Ringer, MDHHS Director Elizabeth Hertel said the conclusions were “misleading,” adding that almost half of the undercounting was due to incorrect reporting by facilities.
The MDHHS disagreed with 1,511 of the 2,386 deaths added by the report on the grounds that it said they were determined using unreliable data.
“[W]e do not believe you have done a ‘proper accounting of all long-term care facility deaths’ as your letter suggests,” Hertel wrote to Ringer.
However, the office of the auditor general maintained it had used reliable data and directly corroborated at least 85 percent of the 1,511 in question.
Like Cuomo, Whitmer ordered long-term care facilities to accept COVID-positive patients at the beginning of the pandemic, according to a Washington Examiner report from March 2021.
Like Cuomo, Whitmer faced heated public criticism for doing so.
For that reason, she would have a vested interest in undercounting the deaths caused by her own mistake.
Republican state Rep. Steven Johnson was the person who requested the office of the auditor general conduct an investigation into the state’s nursing home deaths. He told Detroit’s WXYZ-TV his goal was accountability.
“These are long-term care facilities that were required under Gov. Whitmer’s policies to accept COVID positive patients, and because of that, our most vulnerable residents were put at risk,” Johnson said.
“That’s something that never should have happened and there needs to be accountability on this.”

Israel signs multi-billion dollar deal for submarines from Germany
Israel closed a deal yesterday to buy three submarines from German industrial giant thyssenkrupp [sic] for €3 billion ($3.4bn), the Times of Israel has reported.
"I would like to thank the German government for its assistance in advancing the agreement and for its commitment to Israel's security," said Defence Minister Benny Gantz. "I am confident that the new submarines will upgrade the capabilities of the Israeli Navy, and will contribute to Israel's security superiority in the region."
Part of the cost of the submarines will be met by the German government in accordance with an agreement signed between the two countries in 2017.
Moreover, an agreement valued at €850 million has been signed by the Ministry of Economics and Technology in Berlin to invest in Israeli industries, including defence companies. The agreement follows "several years" of planning and negotiations. It was signed in Tel Aviv on Wednesday by the director-general of Israel's Defence Ministry, General Amir Eshel, and the Chairman of the executive board of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems, Dr Rolf Wirtz.
According to analysts, negotiations between Israel and Germany on the deal were delayed and complicated by a political scandal. Case 3000, also known as the "submarine scandal", would have seen Israel purchase warships and submarines from the German company after millions of shekels, it is alleged, had been "skimmed" off the top for personal gains.
According to thyssenkrupp, though, an internal probe found no evidence of corruption in its handling of the sales. The Israeli authorities have taken no action against the conglomerate.

UN General Assembly adopts Israeli resolution on combating Holocaust denial
Forum approves initiative submitted by Israel for only 2nd time since Jewish state’s founding; Israeli envoy: Resolution is a commitment that ‘phenomenon will be tolerated no more’
The UN General Assembly approves an Israeli-sponsored resolution aimed at combating Holocaust denial.
The resolution passes by consensus and no formal vote is held.
The resolution will provide a specific classification for Holocaust denial, using the working definition put together by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. It will provide recommendations for how signatory countries can address the phenomenon, and will demand social media networks remove posts that fall under the IHRA definition.
The approval of the initiative marks just the second since Israel’s establishment that a resolution submitted by Jerusalem has been adopted by the GA. The first time came in 2005 when the body passed an Israeli resolution declaring January 27 — the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp — as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Red Cross cyberattack compromises data of more than 515,000 'highly vulnerable people'
Data is from people "separated from their families due to conflict, migration and disaster, missing persons and their families, and people in detention."
More than 515,000 "highly vulnerable people" had their personal data compromised this week after a sophisticated cyberattack targeted the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The humanitarian agency announced Wednesday that the attack "compromised personal data and confidential information" from people "separated from their families due to conflict, migration and disaster, missing persons and their families, and people in detention."
Data from least 60 Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies globally were affected by the attack. It is unclear who is responsible, but the agency does not believe the data has been leaked yet.
"An attack on the data of people who are missing makes the anguish and suffering for families even more difficult to endure. We are all appalled and perplexed that this humanitarian information would be targeted and compromised," ICRC's Director-General Robert Mardini said. "This cyber-attack puts vulnerable people, those already in need of humanitarian services, at further risk."
The now-compromised data was used by the ICRC to reconnect family members who have been separated by disaster or conflict.
The agency was forced to close down its Restoring Family Links program due to the attack. Mardini said the group reunites an average of 12 families every day through their work.
Mardini pleaded with the anonymous attacker: "Your actions could potentially cause yet more harm and pain to those who have already endured untold suffering. The real people, the real families behind the information you now have are among the world's least powerful. Please do the right thing. Do not share, sell, leak or otherwise use this data.

COVID-19: Quarantine for children to be canceled from next week

Quarantine for children will be canceled entirely from next Thursday following discussions between the Health Ministry and pediatricians regarding the coronavirus isolation policy in the education system.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz and Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Biton have agreed on the new guidelines that will replace the current isolation policy within the education system. They announced the decision and the new guidelines in a joint press conference on Thursday evening.
“In recent weeks almost all parents in Israel have experienced this difficulty. The Omicron wave is reaching its peak and it is difficult to live a routine life like this with the high number of people in quarantine,” Bennett said.
“I am aware of the distress and have been following the events taking place elsewhere in the world.”
The new guidelines will see children taking antigen tests twice a week, on Sunday and Wednesday. So long as the test comes back negative, the child will continue attending school as usual.
Students across the country will each receive three free antigen tests every few weeks in order to ease the financial costs of the new program.
All children and young adults from birth to 18, whether vaccinated or not, will no longer need to self-isolate after coming into contact with a verified coronavirus case. Only when an antigen test returns a positive result will they have to remain home.
“We are taking responsibility,” concluded Bennett. “This move also requires responsibility from you, the parents, to carry out the rests properly, if a child has symptoms or a positive test result, just do not send them to school.”
“The decision to end isolation within the education system is called for. If the malls and places of entertainment are open, it does not make sense for schools and classrooms to close,” said former director-general of the Education Ministry Michal Cohen in response to the decision.
Also on Thursday, Israel’s Health Ministry recommended that high-risk children aged 5-11 become eligible for a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The suggestion follows a study carried out on the morbidity rates of children and adolescents during the Omicron wave in Israel and the extent to which the vaccine has protected them.

Ontario court rules father cannot criticize COVID vaccines around 10-year-old son
Anything that 'calls into question the safety or efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine' is not allowed, the Ontario Superior Court ruled.
An Ontario judge has issued a gag order forbidding a father from criticizing the federal vaccination program within earshot of his 10-year-old son, Blacklock’s Reporter shares. Anything that “calls into question the safety or efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine” is not allowed, the Ontario Superior Court ruled.
“I find [the boy] is receiving mixed messages about the risks and benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine and that at 10 years of age he is unable to make an informed choice,” wrote Justice Francine Van Melle. The Court granted the urgent motion requested by the boy’s mother.
According to court records, the couple divorced in 2013. The mother, a teacher, wanted the boy to get the shot since “she is worried about sending the child back to school for in-person learning next week without him being vaccinated,” the Court was told.
Justice Van Melle noted the father complained “the government was forcing people to be vaccinated against COVID,” that “there is no benefit to children to receive the COVID vaccine” and that he wanted to “wait until further evidence is available regarding the safety of the vaccine.”
Justice Van Melle ruled that the mother could vaccinate her son, and went further in issuing a gag order prohibiting the father from questioning the government's vaccine program with his son. “He is not to tell or suggest to [the boy] directly or indirectly that COVID-19 vaccines are untested, unsafe or ineffective or that he is particularly at risk from them,” wrote Van Melle.
“He shall not permit any other person to have any such discussion to make any suggestion to [his son] directly or indirectly,” said the Court. “He is prohibited from showing the child social media sites, websites, other online information, literature or any other material that calls into question the safety or efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines or to permit any other person to do so.”

Active along the Eastern Mediterranean road, the criminal network made several hundred million euros in illegal profits
An investigation involving the Albanian Criminal Police (Policia e Shtetit), the Hellenic Police (Ελληνική Αστυνομία) and the Italian Financial Corps (Guardia di Finanza), and supported by Europol and Eurojust, led to the dismantling of a large organised crime group involved in migrant smuggling. The operation was carried out under the direction of Albanian, Greek and Italian judicial authorities.
The action day on 19 January 2022 resulted in:

29 arrests (18 in Albania, 1 in Greece and 10 in Italy)
Hundreds of millions of euros for smuggling more than 1 100 migrants into the EU
Authorities believe that the suspects, mainly of Iraqi and Syrian origin, are part of a criminal network of about 80 members that is allegedly responsible for at least 30 sea smuggling operations. The criminal group operated migrant smuggling activities from Turkey to the Salento coast of Italy via Albania and Greece, then to other EU countries. The investigation started with the detection of an ongoing smuggling operation, which saw the successful rescue of the transported migrants and the arrest of eight low-level smugglers.
The criminal networks primarily used sea routes for the transfer of migrants from Turkey, via the Eastern Mediterranean road, to their final EU destinations. The sea transfers were performed with the use of leisure vessels, mainly yachts, acquired or rented by the criminal network and skippered by novice seamen purposely recruited by the network. The suspects used informal money transfer services such as the hawala system to receive payments from migrants, with their illegal profits estimated at several hundred million euros.
Cross-border cooperation to increase detections
Europol supported this investigation for over 18 months, facilitating the secure exchange of information and the organisation of operational meetings between the investigators, also providing the law enforcement partners with regular intelligence analysis packages. On the action day, Europol deployed two experts to Albania, one to Italy and one to Greece to assist with the crosschecking of operational information against Europol’s databases, and to provide technical support with data extraction and analysis of digital evidence. In addition, Europol facilitated the exchange of investigators to ensure effective tactical support to the operation during its last phase and on the action day. Further operational activities are ongoing on internationally, aimed at unearthing the location and identities of additional suspects involved in the criminal network.
To facilitate the judicial cooperation, Eurojust set up a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) between Albania, Greece, Italy and Europol in January 2021. Eurojust set up a coordination centre during the action day and provided cross-border judicial support via the Italian and Greek desks at its headquarters, as well as the Liaison Prosecutor for Albania at the Eurojust. Eurojust facilitated and supported the exchanged of information among the JIT partners and Europol, and promoted five coordination meetings.

The Austrian parliament has passed the highly controversial universal vaccine mandate for all adults which was first announced in November 2021.
In what was essentially a procedural vote, 137 Austrian MPs voted in favor of the mandate, while 33 voted against it.
About a dozen MPs said they were sick and unable to be in parliament for the vote. At least some of them likely were afraid to cast a no vote in opposition to the party line.
The result is far from unexpected as the mandate was practically assured of approval to begin with. Four out of the five main Austrian parties had worked with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer on the plans, including his own conservative Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) and the Greens.
Only Austria’s right-wing populist Freedom Party (FPÖ) voted against the mandate.
The new law will now enter into effect in February. When it does, all adults over 18 will be legally obliged to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or take steps to get vaccinated under penalty of heavy fines and even jail sentences. Enforcement of the law, however, will only begin in mid-March.

January: Biden’s Radical First Week
On his first day in office, President Joe Biden signed a list of radically left-wing executive orders, including an order requiring that schools must ignore the biological differences between male and female students from the athletic field to the bathroom if they wish to continue receiving federal funding. In Biden’s first week, Press Secretary Jen Psaki also signaled the administration’s plans to reinstate federal funding for abortions around the world with the reversal of the Mexico City policy, and the new president canceled the Keystone XL pipeline.
As Tristan Justice reported at the time, “Biden’s first 48 hours in office have launched the new administration with 17 executive orders, more than were issued in the first month of their presidencies by Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton combined.”
February: Biden’s CDC Worked to Keep Schools Closed
In February, Biden’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced strict reopening guidelines that would keep many schools around the country shut down. “Only K-12 schools in cities and areas with low or moderate virus transmission can fully reopen for in-person learning, as long as physical distancing and mask-wearing is enforced,” Jordan Boyd reported on Feb. 12. “Any transmission rate beyond what is designated as moderate requires hybrid learning or ‘reduced attendance,’ limiting which children are allowed in the classroom at the same time.”
On the same day, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky admitted that far-left teachers unions that have worked to keep students out of school buildings over the course of the Covid pandemic had influence when the CDC created its school reopening guidelines.
March: Working With Corporations to Create Vax Passports
As The Washington Post first reported, the Biden White House spent the month of March plotting with corporations to develop a “vaccine passport” system to force Americans to show their Covid papers in order to participate fully in society. “The passports are expected to be free and available through applications for smartphones, which could display a scannable code similar to an airline boarding pass,” the Post noted.
April: Biden Debuts Radical Social Spending Plan
At the end of April, Biden announced his “American Families Plan,” a list of far-left spending priorities, many of which would become hallmarks of his struggling Build Back Bankrupt agenda. The goals of the proposed $1.8 trillion spending spree included extending government schooling fully into preschool and two years of taxpayer-provided community college.

Operation P-Hunt: Kerala Police arrests ten people involved in child pornography
At least ten people were arrested in connection with child pornography in Kerala. The arrests were made during Operation P-Hunt, a state-wide anti-child pornography drive.
As many as ten people were arrested as part of operation P-Hunt by the Kerala Police to tackle child pornography and child sexual exploitation in the state. The tenth edition of the drive was held on January 16 and over 161 cases were registered and 186 devices were seized during the drive.
The cyber surveillance drive led by Additional Director General of Police Manoj Abraham exposed several peer to peer child porn sharing networks. Investigating officers used several techniques to infiltrate such groups, including fake personas and other social engineering methods. According to the police, continuous drives are proving a deterrent to crime in the state.
In many cases, these crimes are related to mental addictions that require treatment, and in the absence of this, there are trends of repetition of offences or the accused coming back to the crime, more prepared, with better tools of anonymity.
The devices seized by the police had child sex abuse materials ranging from rape, incest, domestic abuse to photographs of local children at swimming pools, water theme parks, malls, playgrounds, shopping malls, beaches and resort hotels.
The distribution, viewing, storing of child pornography entails a punishment of up to five years imprisonment.

Howard Stern Rips Unvaccinated Americans: ‘In My America,’ All Hospitals Would Be Closed To You — ‘Go Home And Die’
Unvaccinated Covid patients should be refused treatment at hospitals and sent home to die, radio talk show host Howard Stern argued Wednesday.
“If it was up to me, anyone unvaccinated would not be admitted to a hospital,” Stern said on his Sirius XM show. “At this point, they have been given plenty of opportunity to get the vaccine.”
A caller concurred with barring unvaccinated patients from treatment, noting they should be sent “home with a bottle of Robitussin.”
“Right,” Stern continued. “They have been told you will die if you get the vaccine. Some of you will live, but most of you will die. They don’t trust our government. They think that there’s some conspiracy to turn them into a magnet or something like this. They think they are going to become magnetized if they take the vaccine.”
“I’ve taken this vaccine three times, and the worst side effect is for a day, I had a little bit of a headache.”
The number of deaths linked to the CDC-promoted vaccines has skyrocketed over the past 12 months, according to the Center For Disease Control’s own data.
There are at least over a million cases of COVID-19 vaccine adverse reaction including more than 21,745 deaths through January 7, 2022, and a total of 1,033,992 people have suffered Covid vaccine adverse events, according to the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System.
At least 306 people have died from vaccines in the month of January alone, the data shows.

Pope Benedict accused of failing to act in Munich Church sexual abuse report
Pope Benedict XVI failed to take action against clerics in four cases of alleged sexual abuse in his archdiocese when he was Archbishop of Munich, a report found on Thursday, compounding a scandal engulfing the Catholic Church.

Munich law firm Westpfahl Spilker Wastl (WSW) was asked in 2020 to investigate allegations of sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising between 1945 and 2019.
The report, commissioned by the archdiocese, said there were at least 497 victims of abuse, mainly young males.
Many other cases had probably not been reported, said the lawyers.
It also found fault with the current Archbishop of Munich, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, 68, in two suspected cases.
Marx, who is not under any suspicion of having participated in abuse, apologised to the victims of historic sexual abuse in his archdiocese.
"As the current archbishop, I apologise on behalf of the archdiocese for the suffering inflicted on people in the area of the church in recent decades," Marx said in a statement.
Marx said changes had already been started in the last 10 years but more was needed, and stressed the importance of pushing ahead with the "Synodal Path", a movement aimed at giving lay Catholics more influence over the running of the church.
"Now is the time to pick up the momentum that the report gives and to take further steps into the future," said Marx whose offer of resignation last year over the abuse crisis was rejected by Pope Francis.
Marx said the archdiocese would carefully read and analyse the report and present a full response next week.
Ex-Pope failed to take action
A spokesperson for the former Pope did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Prosecutions and convictions for child sexual abuse have fallen by around half in four years as victims are left waiting nearly two years for cases to be heard amid 'increasingly long and distressing court delays', research by a children's charity suggests.
The total number of prosecutions in England and Wales more than halved from 6,394 in 2016/17 to 3,025 in 2020/21, while the number of convictions dropped by 45% - falling from 4,751 to 2,595 - in the same period, data obtained by the NSPCC reveals.
Additional figures provided by the Ministry of Justice under the Freedom of Information Act showed that cases were taking longer to resolve, with the median number of days from offence to completion rising from 526 in 2017/18, to 668 in 2020/21.
England and Wales have experienced court closures, a drop in court staff, a shortage of registered intermediaries and a 57% increase in police reports of child sexual abuse in five years, the charity revealed.
