What if I told you that we can understand various types of mindsets towards not only 'creatology' but also 'eschatology'?
I could go on about this, but I'll summarize by saying that the hallmark mindset of statists, tyrants, dictators, and despots, is a desire to bring the constant flux of history itself to an end. To a life of 'stasis'…hence the term 'state'. A desire to stop the 'intolerable' endless flux of change that occurs in a free society, in free markets.
The reason the 'dictator' mindset is associated with a desire to 'freeze' society in a rigid hierarchical way, is as mentioned due to the underpinnings in one's eschatological views about reality.
And, the following is highly important: One's views about both creatology (the science of the 'first days') and of eschatology (the science of the last days) has GIGANTIC impacts on how the world operates, how politics operates, how the economy operates. These foundational philosophical views or assumptions direct the long term future of human life.
Since you're clearly upset about the movie going on…and on….and on…wanting some form of 'relief'…a form of 'REST'….a life of all the struggles and tribulations to finally 'end' as some form of utopia and no more change, no more uncertainty, no more dynamic flux of human life….where you can 'relax' and experience yourself as having 'transcended' the historical process…
Well, all I will say about all of that…is be careful what you wish for…and KNOW the WHY you are wishing it…dig deep in thyself and ask where did the notion that a cessation of flux is the 'ideal' to strive for?
I would recommend you go back into the history of ideas and learn how 'massive' philosophical movements originate and shift over time…the bigger they are the harder they are to detect…because it's 'everywhere' and can't be distinguished from anything else because it feels like everything…
If you want this movie to 'end'….it won't. Reality of life after hundreds of thousands of years of human existence, if you're into empirical evidence, has proved that the 'natural' course for humanity is highly dynamic, and those dystopian societies we read about are ALL based on attempts by some people to STOP that flux of life.
