Nearly 14K COVID tests left sitting out in Bay Area lab

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) – Nearly 14,000 coronavirus tests were left sitting in bags in a Pleasanton-based lab. Now, customers are still waiting for their results nearly two weeks later.

Some scientists worry because the Virus Geeks tests sat for so long, the results may not be accurate, even giving false negatives.
