Nothing wrong with emulating social insects, if that your choice.

Social insects are born into a class, have a specific set of duties which never change and are centrally controlled by a Queen. They are not individuals but parts of a superorganism, and when the queen dies or is killed the hive no longer exists and healthy individual ants no longer able to coordinate their social functions wander away and die.
