Why does a company named DOMINION always pop up in corruption digs?

'''FBI Raid Center for Covid Control > Doctors Clinical Laboratory > DCL Corporation >'''Formerly DOMINION

It's almost like the media doesn't know what's going on here. This article seems like actual journalism.

The company "primarily uses" Doctors Clinical Laboratory "as a clinical testing vendor partner," the press release said. The lab is registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as an independent lab and is listed at the same Rolling Meadows address. A phone number listed on a website for the lab directs callers to a recorded message for the Center for COVID Control.

A website for the lab and emails sent to some test recipients feature a trademarked logo that belongs to the DCL Corporation, a pigments supplier.

The corporation issued a cease-and-desist letter to the Center for COVID Control regarding the trademarked logo on Monday via mail and email, spokesperson Magen Buterbaugh said. Buterbaugh said she also left a voicemail with the company but has not heard back.

"We are in no way affiliated with this company," Buterbaugh said

Almost two years after merging, pigments suppliersDominion Colour Corp. and Lansco Colors now are operating as DCL Corp.

Private equity firm HIG Capital merged the two firms in April 2018. The goal of the merger of Toronto-based Dominion and Lansco of Pearl River, N.Y., was "to create a global leader in the supply of color pigments and dispersions for the coatings, plastics, and ink industries," officials said in a March 6 news release.

They added that the new DCL name "combines letters that represent the legacy while at the same time starting a new chapter for the company."

"DCL Corp. is large enough to compete on a global stage by servicing multi-national customers while still being responsive to the needs of our small and medium-sized customers all over the world," CEO Chuck Herak said in the release.

Lansco was founded in 1926 as Landers-Segal Color Co. and served 600 customers, primarily in the United States. Dominions was founded in 1946 and had more than 400 customers in 70 countries.

At the time of the merger, Miami-based HIG was majority owner of both DCC and Lansco.
