"Their willingness to yield to the government and choosing the path for peace manifest their complete abandonment of the armed movement of the communist terrorists," Costelo said.
According to Nolcom, a total of 61 CTG members have surrendered to government forces since Jan. 1, 2022.
He also appealed to the remaining members of the communist insurgency to peacefully lay down their arms and let the government help them go back to their normal lives.
"They are victims of the lies and deceptions of selfish leaders of the CTG, but can start anew and avail of the government's enhanced-comprehensive livelihood integration program," Mina said.
