Seriously, I am often puzzled by our past attitude toward important historical artifacts. IMO, every small airport should have a B17 laying around somewhere. We certainly made enough of them. There's what… 5 of them in the air?
I remain grateful to those guys who readily admit they have more money than brains, and have committed fortunes to preserving what's left.
You sure don't have to watch many YT vids of restorations to see where that money goes…. everywhere, by the bucketful.
