My dad got a 21 gun salute at his funeral because he was a WWII vet.
My mom had died 3 years earlier so the flag was presented to my oldest brother, because he is the oldest. My oldest brother was never in the military. But my second oldest brother and I were both in the military, but neither of us were presented with the flag. Something about that didn't seem right.
