‘Limit the Spread of Covid Misinformation’ – Biden’s Surgeon General Calls For Joe Rogan’s Podcast to be Censored

This is totally normal.

Joe Biden’s Surgeon General is attacking Joe Rogan.

As reporter earlier, 1960s rocker Neil Young said that Spotify must choose between podcaster Joe Rogan and Young’s music.

Highly popular podcaster Joe Rogan has a huge audience because people enjoy hearing different opinions.

The knives are now out for Rogan because he has invited guests such as Dr. Malone to appear on his podcast to discuss the dangers of the Covid mRNA gene therapy vaccines.

And now Biden’s Surgeon General, Vivek Murthy is calling for Rogan’s show to be censored.

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski asked Dr. Vivek Murthy what are the best ways to push back on Covid misinformation.

Murthy complained that social media companies are not doing enough to ‘stop the spread’ of Covid misinformation before calling on Spotify to silence Joe Rogan.

“A critical part of how we get through this pandemic” is “limiting the spread of misinformation” from shows like Joe Rogan, Murthy said on Tuesday.

Police summoned to nursing home nearly devoid of staff after residents call to report disturbing scenes

Police discovered two dead bodies and two patients in critical condition at a Thomasville, North Carolina, nursing home earlier this month after very few staffers were reported to have shown up at the facility for an undetermined period of time.

Authorities say that scared residents phoned police to report a concerning lack of medical providers and staff on the evening of Jan. 16.

What are the details?

Officers responded to the Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center to conduct a welfare check after residents called and complained that they hadn't seen any staff members throughout the day and that calls to care providers were going unanswered.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported that police quickly determined that there were not nearly enough staff at the 98-patient facility and said that there was only one licensed practical nurse and two certified nurses assistants on duty.

Along with the Thomasville Fire Department and Davidson County Emergency Services, first responders were able to perform a wellness assessment on each of the patients in the facility. It took first responders 12 hours to assess all patients, the outlet reported, and their assessments turned up two dead residents and two patients that were deemed critical and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

It is unclear at the time of this reporting whether the two dead patients passed of natural causes or if their deaths were due to neglect.

What else is there to know about this?

WGHP-TV reported that the facility sent out an automated call to residents' families to acknowledge the situation.

“This is a courtesy call from Pine Ridge,” the call said according to the station. “We just wanted to make sure that you were aware that during the night shift on … Jan. 16, we had scheduled a full staff, but due to inclement weather, some of the folks were not able to come in. As a result, Davidson County Emergency Management assisted us with staff during those shifts to ensure provision of care. Today’s staff has been able to get to work in ensuring the residents’ needs are met continually.”

Thomasville Police Capt. Brad Saintsing said that weather only contributed to the short-staffing.

“Obviously, the weather and road conditions contributed to the inadequate staffing issues with this facility,” Saintsing said. “First and foremost, we want to ensure each and every resident of the facility is getting the quality of care they deserve. With these types of facilities, there is a protocol, and we want to ensure it was followed as it relates to the weather and/or emergency situations.”

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) said that the report was "deeply troubling" and called for an immediate investigation into the facility and its management.

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has taken over operations at the private facility as the police investigate the incident along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office, and Davidson County Social Services.

Principle LTC, the private operator of the facility, did not respond to the Winston-Salem Journal's request for comment on the investigation.

Psaki Suggests Monoclonal Antibodies 'Don't Work' Against Covid In Bumbling Defense Of FDA Decision

When asked on Tuesday about the FDA's decision to yank the Emergency Use Authorization for monoclonal antibodies, the White House press secretary spat out a word-salad of disinformation.

"Let's just take a step back here just to realize how crazy this is," Psaki began, reading her answer. "We've approached Covid treatments like filling a medicine cabinet. We're not relying on one type, one brand, or treatment. We invested in, and continue to buy a variety across [sic] monoclonal antibodies, pre-exposure prevention therapies, and oral antivirals.

"What the FDA is making clear is that these treatments, the one that they are fighting over - that the governor is fighting over - do not work against Omicron, and they have side effects. That is what the scientists are saying.

Psaki then put monoclonals on par with 'advocating for things that don't work, even though we know things do work; injecting disinfectant, promoting other pseudo-science, sowing doubt on the effectiveness of vaccines and boosters, and now promoting treatments that don't work."

Conservative lawmakers urge Senate GOP to shut down government to defund Biden's vaccine mandates

Ahead of February's upcoming government shutdown deadline, a group of House Republicans have declared their opposition to any bill to fund the government that also funds the Biden administration's vaccine mandates.

In a letter to GOP leadership first reported by Fox News, more than a dozen House lawmakers said they will not "vote to fund a federal government that is enforcing tyrannical COVID-19 vaccine mandates on the American people."

The Biden administration has enacted five federal vaccine mandates, four of which are currently in effect. President Joe Biden's recent order that businesses with more than 100 employees have their workers vaccinated or regularly tested was struck down by the Supreme Court, which ruled the Occupational Health and Safety Administration lacked the authority to impose such standards. Vaccine mandates for medical workers, the armed forces, federal employees, and federal contractors remain in effect.

The Republicans, led by Rep. Chip Roy (Texas), said Congress should not place its faith in the judiciary to strike down the rest of Biden's vaccine mandates. Writing to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), they advocated for unified Republican opposition to funding the executive branch agencies that enforce these mandates.

Sean Payton stepping away from Saints in NFL stunner

Sean Payton’s recent radio silence has turned into a decision: His time with the Saints is over.

The longtime coach has informed the Saints he is stepping away after 15 years as their head coach.

“I don’t know what’s next,” Payton told reporters Tuesday at a press conference. He said he’d consider doing television and could even coach again, but he won’t be coaching again soon.

Payton won a Super Bowl with New Orleans and has a 152-89 record to his name. His final season with the Saints was a frustrating one as they went 9-8 and missed the playoffs while battling multiple key injuries.

Saints owner Gayle Benson had admitted on Monday that she was unsure about Payton’s future, while NFL Network reported he had been on vacation for more than a week and was using the time to determine his next step.

Ex-bank CEO: $220,000 spent at strip clubs was business expense

A one-time Swiss banking CEO who is on trial for fraud now says that the nearly $220,000 he spent at strip clubs was a legitimate business expense.

Pierin Vincenz, the former head of the bank Raiffeisen Switzerland, who was once honored as “banker of the year,” also claimed in a Swiss court that he spent $760 on dinner with a woman he met on Tinder because he was thinking of hiring her for a real estate job.

Meanwhile, Swiss prosecutors have also alleged that Vincenz ran up a $4,500 hotel bill that included repairs to the room after he and a stripper he was dating at the time got into a “massive” fight that caused significant damage.

Vincenz’s former company also says that the ex-CEO spent $30,000 of company money to take a cooking club trip to Mallorca, a Spanish island, on a private jet, according to Reuters.

Vincenz is one of seven top bankers and associates on trial in Zurich for alleged enrichment, fraud and mismanagement.

It is alleged that Vincenz used his position to make secret side deals in addition to those made officially between Raiffeisen and other parties between 2006 and 2017.

Prosecutors want the 65-year-old Vincenz and his co-defendants to pay restitution totaling $77 million and serve six years in prison.

All seven who have been charged are denying the allegations.

The trial has attracted intense media scrutiny in Switzerland. The press interest was so great that authorities needed to relocate the trial from a local courthouse in Zurich to a large theater.
