A duck has what looks to me to be a broken leg. It is hanging right next to the water's edge approx 40-60' from the other ducks. It used to come close to me and feed with the other ducks, but now it is keeping to itself but nearby. I was able to get close to it today and gave it some duck food, but it didn't get up like it normally would.
Will U.S. Forest Service do anything to help this duck, or can I rescue it and take it to a vet? I don't know if they treat ducks at the vet in my small town, but I want to do something to help it.
Suggestions please.
