Two brothers who formerly co-owned a Butler County company that had multimillion-dollar contracts with the military admitted Wednesday that they defrauded the Army on contracts for Humvee window kits and hid income from the government.

The company’s chief financial officer also admitted to his role in the fraud, which cost the government some $6 million. Two people from Michigan, where the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command is located, are scheduled to plead to their part of the schemes Thursday in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh.

Thomas Buckner, 68, and John Buckner, 66, who ran Ibis Tek, waived indictment and pleaded guilty to “major fraud against the U.S.” and tax evasion before U.S. District Judge Arthur Schwab.

The former CFO, Harry Kramer, also pleaded.
