Louis Emmet Mahoney

 

Louis Emmet Mahoney, former director of public health for San Bernardino County and acting chief medical officer of the U.S. Public Health Service during the Clinton administration, died on Jan. 14 in Redlands from complication of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). He was 82.

Defendants Attempted to Procure High-Powered Microwave System for Iran

 

A U.K. man pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in the District of Columbia to violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) and Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations. At the same time, an indictment was unsealed charging four individuals with the same offense, as well as related offenses.

Officer-involved shooting on I-65 in South Nashville, lanes shut down in both directions

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities are working an officer-involved shooting on Interstate 65.

 

TDOT says the shooting happened on I-65 northbound near mile marker 77 just north of Old Hickory Boulevard near the site where the Nathan Bedford Forrest statue was displayed. The northbound side is closed in that area while the southbound side is closed further up I-65 near Harding Place.
