I've never been a partisan person. Never been a big organized religion person either.
Always seemed to me that any organization I encountered was too full of pompous know-it-all assholes to be the "perfect" place, or where absolute Truth was to be found.
Parties, organizations, "religions" exist in an imperfect world, and inevitably is staffed and constituted with imperfect human beings.
I was not going to hamper myself with the limitations and baggage and bullshit that was inherent.
