Namefagging is placing anything in the "name" field of a reply in order to differentiate one's posts from others and associate it with an identity which of course ceases to be anon. The day/night shift stuff may be an annoyance, but isn't an attempt to stand out from other anons on the basis of an individual post/idea. It's just board culture.
