About 10 days ago, there was a news story reporting the feds were looking into housing illegal children crossing the border on to military bases. Illegals (children and adults) have been disappearing since before Trump became POTUS.

I still think all of them should be turned away at the border or automatically deported. They are far too much of a burden here. Almost none were unfairly treated by their governments.

One of my relatives was in foster care during the 1930s. Back then, foster children were treated just like slaves and abused. My relative never recovered from that mentally.

This crap has been going on for over 80 years. Why didn't Reps stop the problems? Probably because they're part of it too.

Agree. As long as there is money to be made, whatever evil won't stop. I think the don't care attitude developed after people saw the gov didn't care in holding the main culprits accountable.

Agree. My relative never spent time in one of those institutions. All the people who get trapped into this mess need mental healthcare for a pretty long time.

One of my friends is a social worker who has to deal with this area. I sure couldn't. The public never hears the full story in each case. What may seem like ideal parents to us could easily be monsters to their children. Remember the Turpins with their 13 kids? Not saying everyone is like them, but we really don't know the full story.
