#1 Battle E is not awarded for success on missions. It is awarded for having your shit on point, Battle Efficiency. That means the operations departments have all their paperwork in order, and can do their jobs, and the crew can react during simulated emergencies. What you should look for is some of the following:
Naval Unit Citation (NUC)
Naval Expeditionary
Armed Forces Expeditionary
Meritorious Unit Citation (MUC)
Presidential Unit Citation (PUC) (See Jimmy Carter)
Fleet Unit Citation (FUC lol, j/k this one is fake, but if you've ever been on a boat, you get this automatically)
#2 Jimmy Carter. Does extra special shit. everyone down to the cooks is REQUIRED to have T O P S E C R E T clearance. Also, the The other Seawolf Class boats do equally extra special Secret Squirrel shit, and are all part of the same squadron stationed out of Washington.
#3. It's been a solid 14 years since I've been involved with the comms suite of a 688i boat (the boat I was on was a couple years newer than the Annapolis).
