Hadn't been too much exploring going on there due to the ice/climate – mostly coal/oil, uranium, iron, platinum. Most stuff at this point they infer for example from presence of known/similar geological formations or geophysical indications (ore, hydrothermal) – but they really don't have much detail yet, one would think.
