I will NEVER forget right before the 2016 elections, during a lull in daytime news stuff on Fox, I decided to switch over to CNN to see what they were spinning.

And it was broadcast of Putin making a speech. He said something like, "If hillary Clinton wins the election, there WILL be a nuclear war" Not verbatim, but pretty fucking close. They cut away immediately after he said it to Wolf Blitzer who looked like a deer caught in headlight. It was the funniest shit ever but also weird AF because I figured it would be BIG news Putin just said that live on TV. But it wasn't even a blip on Twitter, CNN never mentions it again & I think I only saw it mentioned in passing on some fringe blog.

 

To your point about 9/11

I had the news on 24/7 the moment I saw the 2nd plane hit live on one of the morning shows. There is so much that I remember happening & being talked about during that time that is never really talked about or questioned & it always pissed me off, so I agree 1000% with you on that.

I worded that so wrong. I meant they cut away from Putin, back to Wolf Blitzer in studio
